Not only are the CFL kids cute, they have excellent political taste! ;)

I work as a professor, and I teach and do research in the behavioral sciences. I'm halfway through the grueling tenure process, so I suppose I should be happy about that.

I was born in Texas, but my parents moved back to their native Wisconsin when I was just 6 months old. I mostly grew up in the Land of Cheese, but also lived in Illinois and Missouri at times during my childhood. I am thus a die-hard Packers fan (this despite the fact that my profession opposes football due to the rampant and under-recognized/disregarded problem of concussions). I'm also a St. Louis Cardinals fan (lived there for a few years as a kid at the time that I first "discovered" baseball).

My beloved wife and I have been married for nearly 9 years now and have a 4 year-old boy and a 6 month-old girl (her birth and the time commitment involved in raising infants is the reason why I had to abandon my Toros dynasty writeup over at FOFC - for now). I never played football growing up, as I really wasn't all that interested in football until late in high school, but my 5'10", 200lb frame would qualify me to play QB, RB, WR, CB and S in FOF 2k7. My natural physical talents however, would qualify me to hand out water bottles on the sidelines and, perhaps, to occasionally trip over things.

Oh, and I've played every version of FOF since the original. I think I still have the FOF CD around here somewhere...

That is interesting about the concussions. I don't think any of the ones I suffered in hockey or football had any effect on my behavior or intellect.

I am actually more annoyed by the few 'floaters' (as the eye doctor calls them) I have in both eyes from 'rapid deceleration' (another doctor term for going really fast into other people or boards) in contact sports. They are little specks of eye parts or whatever jarred loose from hard impacts.

I've got a few of those. I tend to only notice them early in the morning and late at night (i.e. while in bed).

Now I just stick to softball and basketball. Basketball's a contact sport but it's not a collision sport. Big difference. :)

Well, that confirms it for me.

The eyes are actually a direct nerve extension of the brain, and can reasonably be considered a "part" of the brain. Combine this with the fact that I only see "floaters" in my toilet, and I'm left with the conclusion that TT does, indeed, have shit for brains. ;)

That's a long way to go for marginal returns but it did make me chuckle a little so you get credit.

ok

My Name is Jeff, I'm 36, married for 7 yrs, iv'e been with my wife Darcy for 12yrs, we have two kids both boys Hayden 3 and Parker 1.5

Like TLK and Timmynausea, I live in the winter wonderland of Michigan, Saginaw area. Unlike timmynausea i root for the chips in that rivalry because it is "the end of the world" and it's definetly worth having a party for.

I grew up a steelers fan like stretch, but for different reasons. I know picking a favorite team based on uniforms is really lame, but not when your a kid and the K.I.C.S. team i played for, well our uni's were damn near replicas of the steelers, so thats how i became a steelers fan.

More importantly i am a Michigan Wolverine Fan/Season ticket holder, GO BLUE! F OSU!

I am 5'9" 165, never was a big dude, entering high school i was 5'6" and 85 lbs wet, and when the FB coach took a look at me that was the end of my playing career, i was crushed. When i did play i played LB and DB mostly, my first coach thought it would be cool to put the smallest guy on the team at ol and dl, moran! I was very pleased when the next guy came along and moved me off the line. Never big but quick, i was once "unofficially" clocked (friend with stopwatch  ) at 4.6 in the 40, now i'd could probably still run that 4.6 but in the 80  maybe 100, of course when finished i'd need to be hooked up to oxygen, and would probably need a nap.

I graduated Northwood University in midland Michigan with a bachelors in Business Management, and currently work for a Logistics company, sound boring, but i actually like it

Like hoosier i also spent time in the Army, 11Bravo1Papa (airborne) and he is right about alaska, It is one of my favorite places, I almost never left, absolutely gorgeous! I spent time in North Carolina, go Heels! Alaska, Japan and the Philippines (spelling).

Hey Sundevil, what did you think of the Northern Lights? Did you ever get to North Slope or Kodiak Islands? Brimfrost? Jackfrost? I graduated honor grad at the Arctic Survival School for aircrewmen, sponsored by the United States Air Force--damn airmen acted like they never slept outside at 30 below--and extended my tour in Alaska. Got married there and honeymooned in Fairbanks. Spent a little over four years there. . .

Hello, my name is Jeff. I am addicted to football.

I have only been playing this since FOF2K4 and this league is my only experience with the FOF series. After playing fantasy football since the early 90's in leagues with Ravenhawk and Turftoe. Those two are the ones who recruited me to get into this league, so you can blame them. I can now say that this is more addicting than fantasy ever was, but I still enjoy taking home the fantasy title every year. I am a current Bears season ticket holder and religiously attend all the games to freeze late in the year to tailgate for 3 hours before game time. I pretty much bleed midnight blue and burnt orange. Bear Down!

I have been married for 7 years and have a 3 year old daughter. They are both wonderful seeing as they let me get away with my football addiction. I am a week shy of turning 34.

I work at a Chicagoland based accounting firm as the IT Director as well as heading up their IT consulting practice. My days are divided up between 70% work, 20% family and 10% CFL.

yes, the aurora borealis was really cool up there, we have lot of it in northern michigan, but no comparison, never got to any of those places you mentioned, i've been to homer, seward, a bunch of places around anchorage, of course Denali national park, and Mt McKinley. In anchorage i was a regular at the best bar in the whole dam world "Chilkoot Charlies" and yes the atmosphere there has more bite than binkie (inside joke for those that don't know alaska

[quote187bbe8="TLK"]My name is Kevin and I'm a 26 year old who at times feels like he is 46. I currently reside in Southgate, MI, which is about 15 minutes south of Detroit.

I split my time between working third shift, going to school and spending time with the new addition to the family. There isn't much time for sleep. I spend a lot of time on the CFL board while trying to get Brady to sleep. He doesn't seem interested when I run a trade by him or ask his opinion on a FA but he'll learn. Brady at (almost) three months.

[img187bbe8]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/ ... g/baby.jpg[/img187bbe8]

In high school I played soccer and I use the word "play" lightly. We didn't win a game the two years I played and were pretty much horrible. I did keep some stats for the football team and now I've said too much.

I've played and owned every FOF and been a member of the CFL from the start.[/quote187bbe8]

A few additions to this...

Brady is now two years old and getting into everything. He seems to have an opinion about everything, except when it comes to the Flats. When I talk CFL to him, he seems to give me a blank stare and quietly laugh at me. This photo is from about a week ago at his birthday party at a random waterpark in Michigan.
[img187bbe8]http://www.thecfl.net/fantasy/brady.png[/img187bbe8]

Also, over our last Las Vegas excursion.... I got married. I'm not one for big weddings and everything that goes with it, so we had planned on Vegas for a long while and finally did it. I look like a complete goober in the first pic, but refuse to pay $1200 for the "professional pictures" they took at our wedding. The second and third pics were from our reception day back in Detroit.

Seeing the influx of new owners, me being one of them, I figured i might as well revive this thread.

My name is Bjorn, Im turning 40 this year (yupp, slowly getting up there in age) and Im German.
playing text sims sports games since a very long time. play/played a soccer text sim on and off for around 10 years now, for some reason it took me till now to stumble upon a good football sim.
Not sure if Im the only foreign owner on these boards. Anyway I have been interested in football since my youth. Probably because half my family lives in the states, Cleveland to be exact. Im a Browns fan pretty much my whole life. So yes im used to constant dissapointment.
Having lived my whole childhood in germany, i never had the chance to play football, but i did play the european version of it.

I left Germany when i was 20 to study in the states (UW-Madison and Temple) and have been on the road ever since. Well, I do try to visit whenever i can.
I work for a German based non- profit foundation that gives out grants to underprivileged young minds, mainly in poor countries. It helps them get a college education, jobs etc...
Pretty happy with the job, mainly working on my own schedule and it allows me to travel.
the last ten years I have spend country hopping, relocating roughly every 2 years. So far Ive spend time in Cambodia, Brasil, Ireland, Laos and now Argentina. Pretty restless life, but I got used to it by now. I get a european paycheck, which allows me to live a rather decent live in those countries. so no complaints there.
What else, Im married, but with the temptation that are south american women, Im not sure how much longer. Yeah, probably not much longer. I have no kids but 2 big dogs, dogo argentinos to be exact. With all the crime down here, Im pretty happy to have them. Im covered in Tattoos at this point, but at work I am a tidy looking suit/tie wearer.
thats it, oh wait....
Then theres that whole VD problem, but hey nobody is perfect

so long

I thought I would add my little bit to the community as well.

Jason, 36 (37 on April 3rd), married for 7 years, 1 son who will be 2 in May. I live in Canton, MI, but grew up in Canton, OH...yes, the Canton, OH that has the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I played football in high school and 1 year and a half in college before a back injury ended my career. At 5'11", 180 pounds back then, I was an average sized receiver that ran a 4.47 40 on grass.

Nowadays, I work as a programmer/analyst for a medical software consulting company. Also, I have spent 17 years in the military, and currently am in the Air National Guard as an E-7, Master Sergeant.

As far as sports are concerned, I love the Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, Red Wings, and the OSU Buckeyes.

Go Bucks, Michigan sucks!

That's me in a nutshell.

Hey fellow CFLer's,

My name is Jay (Dean Gullberry) and I am a Front Office Football-aholic.

I am 35 and teach high school Spanish. Therefore, I typically watch mine game the next day after school. The early mornings don't allow for many late nights.

Smitty is a buddy of mine and he got me into the game. I have never played this game and didn't want to start doing single player, so I just jumped right in the water to see how tall I was. He always told me this was the best game ever (aside from a new version of FOF: The College Years, which I would love to see as well), and Josh was right.

It's great to see the league almost full. Smitty always told me stories of the days when there was a waiting list to this league. For those of you that just joined the league, I have not been in the league much longer than you guys and I can tell you that these guys love this league!

Cheers CFL,
Jay (Dean Gullberry)
