I really liked who the Packers took and thought Thompson made a good move to trade up to get Matthews. We have depth, we just needed more impact players and we got 2 of them. I think the defense is going to be much improved this season.

Giants get their man at receiver.

Now whether he can make us forget Plax remains to be seen.

I was fine with the Stafford pick. I absolutely hated the Pettigrew and Delmas picks. I would of liked Maualuga and Everette Brown. Oh well... we'll get another top 3 pick next year to make it right.

I'm actually not a big fan of any NFL team. I live in Michigan. There's a rumor that there is a franchise in Detroit, but there's very little evidence to back that up. In fact, I had a nightmare that the ghost of Daunte Culpepper played some QB for them last year.

Anyway, I can't wait to see Pat White running the wildcat in Miami.

What is this "NFL Draft" you speak of?

Nah, seriously guys, once I finish my once a year gig and get back from home from New York, I will work on First Round CFL Draft analysis. Probably no team by team grade report again this time, just too busy.

They overpaid for the 1.26, so I hope Matthews is worth the price.

That's what surprised me most in this draft, the disparity in some of the trades.

Look at the Browns - Cleveland trades down 2 spots twice and picks up 2 lousy 6 rounders.

Look at the Patriots - NE trades down 3 spots (lower down too) and still manage to get a 5th rounder.

I guess Mangini did not learn [i1c3fdd1]everything [/i1c3fdd1]from Evil Bill. [/u]

i was disappointed that the chiefs didn't trade down. i don't think they got the 3rd best player in the draft. it sounds like they are already backing away from this draft already because they say they didn't have pioli's guys in the scouting department in place.

That's what, 1 win each for 2009?
