Just realized we psoted our week 10 beatdown by TUcson here but it actually was week 11 at stunner El Paso. So this is the game we rexed teh O for.

ELP dinked a bit and we were running well but both teams coughed up fumbles early ith ELP taking advantage and going up 7. We bulled our way down to their 11 but threw a pick to coem away with nothing. A nice stp by our D gave Fulton another chance and we tied things up to open the 2nd Q as we were grinding em up in the trenches.

3andO for ELP and we hti the TEs to complement our running to go up 7. More 3rd down pressure getting to ELP but we couldn't take advantage of hte field position and booted it into the endzone. A stop by our D set us up for a 4 minute drill but we are jsut terrible at that and ELP played it safe to bring it to the half.

More chunk ground gains for us and TE Sutter put us up 14 with a YAC gain TD. ELP had their own YAC gain but again we stuffed the ground game and got to QB Hitchcock on 3rd down to take over at our 3. Nothing doing for us but a 56 net yard punt helpe da godo bit. ELP found some life on the ground but eventually were slowed in the RZ and kicked a FG to remain down 11.

Nothing doing for our O and ELP was at midifeld after oen nice run, a failed completion on 3rd down led to a 4th adn 2 which they picked up via the FB in the flat but yet another 3rd down sack led to a punt for a touchback. 3andO as we couldn't grind clock as we needed to and ELP scored quickly but had the TD called back on a holding call and ended up missing a long FG attempt with the clock now down to 4 minutes. Mor efutility from our clockgrinding efforts but we picked a corner route and that ended things.

Great to get a win, thoght we might let it slip away as we have a few tiems this season when our 2nd half O jsut goes to shit.

Love seeing the team play like htey are supposed to, chunk gains on the ground and a vicious pass rush headed by DE Walsh is supposed to be the formula.

Gotta get more consistent as we have had 4 games where we are jsut terrible. But when we aren't it really feels like we are a couple offensive weapons and maybe a CB1 away from being a playoff team.

Is there any way we could discuss a potential change in the schedule? It's a lot of work for 4 games in one week, in my opinion.

I like the accelerated schedule for the playoffs. If you are not in the playoffs, it gets rather dull waiting for several weeks before the offseason starts.

Finally got home to watch the Solevision and boy that was a beatdown. We dominated in all aspects of the game and our Defense put in a huge performance after giving up 40 points last time against Vegas.

The running game was great and the pass rush on Defense was really good in this game. Jace Norgard was the MVP with 3 INTs (1TD) and he has had a quiet/down year this season, maybe this can start a run of good play for him and the Defense which has been terrible until these past few games.

I know I said this before but that's basically the division right there and we are looking real good for the #1 seed, with 6 weeks remaining. If this keeps up we may rest starters for 1 or 2 weeks.

Yes, I wasn't too excited about preparing for this game with our offense turned one dimensional with Narcisse's knee injury. Fulcher isn't the power runner he used to be and it showed.

I guess I need to stop Rexing the game plan as we end up with multiple-interception games and no TD's every time I do it. Just another example for those who don't try to customize their game plan to fit their talent.

Defensively, Rex did better than expected because any time you can hold Coop to less than 4 TD's and 300 yards it's a success.

We're still on track for where I thought we'd be this year and I'm glad the talk of us challenging for the division is done. Now if we can get past the follow up one liner of us in the playoffs we'll be set. Although, this team could make some noise if healthy, but we're just not there yet to compete with the real contenders.

Good luck the rest of the way!

Your team is very close to being there and no doubt we will be butting heads the rest of Cooper's career and beyond that too.

I was honestly surprised by this result and playing you is always circled on my calendar.

Good luck to you as well!

Well, that wasn't very exciting.....I was hunkered down with some snacks and a brew or two for the Shreveport V San Antonio slug fest and what did I get.....?

The stingers rolled over and got thumped by Gilmore and company......I turned it off after Shreveport's 4th TD.....

Well, at least things are back to normal in the division......For now....

Lol - I think my game planning works better when I have 2 good RB's in the backfield. We were having issues when Ty Sergeant was out with an injury and his addition back into the lineup the last 2 weeks has been fruitful. We missed his 4.98/carry.

Only a half game back now. . .
