GG Iowa City. We got a much needed win to get a 1 game lead on our division as Death Valley took a loss. We get to face DVY for the second game this year and hope for the split and sole ownership of the division going forward. A loss means tied records but DVY gets the tie break so...a bit on the line.

Texas Inferno

In the Big Sleazy, very fortuante that their QB is out with his bell rung but with that defense and our propensity for TOs anything could happen especialy without Crabtree's big play ability to bail us out. They actually signed ou former QB Nail and have a couple of former Sodbusters as we have been active trade partners over the years.

We peter out but S Brewer grabs hsi 8th pick of the season to get us a 1st and goal and Fulton puts us up 7. Another INT and we are up 14 quickly. Anothe stop for our D and we tackon a FG. NOS keeps going backwards until they convert a 3rd and long to get their ypp positive and cross midfield. We throw a pick deep in our end and NOS gets a TD for 6 after a missed XP.

We are rolling though on the groudn with a coupel big plays over the top and get another TD to leave it at 24-6. Nail hits 3 deep passes to get them inside as 1st and goal from the 1 and we stand our groudn until 4th down when they knock it in. We are rolling once again but can't overcome penalties in the RZ and have our FG attempt blocked with a bad snap. NOS crosses mdifield and goes for another 4th and 1 but we stuff them and tack on a long FG before the half.

Glad to see QB Nail is still up to his old tricks, just have to avoid our own mistakes and we should be able to hold on for the W here.

Both teams are stalling out before hitting scoring range until NOS manages to hit a FG with aobut 20 minutes left. 2 more punts and we go into the 4th up 11 where rookie TE Schultz takes a short pass 60 yards for the likely gamessealing TD.

Valiant effort NOS, wouldn't want to see you guys with your real QB at the helm.


Big division game against DEN up next as a win there woudl all but assure us the division.

I lost count at like 7 possessions from inside BK's 30 yard line, and we didn't get many points out of it. Fumbles really set you guys back, this game would have very different if we didn't recover those bad boys.

This was a game where it seemed like we were trying not loose more so then trying to win. I'm glad we got out of there with a W, this was a hard fought game by the brawlers, they just don't quit.

Tough match up this week vs the 11-1 Boise City Stampede, lets see how we do!

Well it's official. I have joined one of the toughest division in the league. We are currently on pace to send 3 teams to the playoffs right now. I squeaked out a critical win over a very talented Las Vegas team in hope to pull ahead of the pack in my division for some breathing room. Unfortunately they all won too. It looks like week 17 vs Omaha might be the most critical game of my short tenure in the CFL. I also cannot overlook Baltimore being a spoiler this upcoming week as well. This is gonna be a nail biter folks.

Another bad beat for us, but you guys defended well in the red zone. You also defended the long plays just as you have the last few weeks, which is why I tried to implement the short and outside passing game. It worked for the first half at least.

The key plays were your 96-yard kick off return for TD and our penalty at the end after we turned the ball over on downs with less than a minute left and it turned into the GW drive. That's the sign that FOF knew the winner before the game was played and the dice were rolled. I'm still ahead of the game in that regard so these don't sting too bad yet.

I'd love to know what plays you have setup to get those pancake blocks for your linemen against DB's. Those worked out a lot better than your reverse's on 3rd and short.

McKnight seemed to stick to the game plan in the first half where his completion percentage was way up, but for some reason he fell into old habits and went deep in the 2nd half with not much success. I'll just have to scrub the gameplan again and keep this bomb-happy loon away from deep options.

I'm honestly just really impressed with this division, we all top 5 records in the NC and we still have to play all each other. It's scary Boise could drop from a 1 to a 5 seed with just one bad game even after going 11-1-1. Now we gotta go against you guys next week with a game having huge implications. We had a close one last time and I don't expect anything else this week. Good luck next week

I signed Nail hoping he would take revenge out on his old team but after the game I remembered why I traded him away. Injuries taking too much of a toll on my skill positions time too get my young guys more work and start looking at next season.

The last two games we have turned the ball over 3 times on our first three possessions. Three fumbles against Oregon and two fumbles and one interception against KC. Plus the Brawlers have been decimated by injuries all year not to mention that the QB is out now.

This has been a year not-to-be, but at least we are still fighting.
