Rough start to this season as we fall to Santa Cruz 17-20. We were favored to win this one and they are rated lower than us in Power Rankings so I guess this is an upset. However, I can't help but feel this may be a long year for us and we may be staring at a top 10 pick next off-season. We have a few talented bright spots but our roster talent is dwindling fast.

GG El Paso. Too much firepower for our secondary and we had 3 TOs.

gg durham

we score the winning touchdown with less than 1 minute left. we lost to durham 3 times last year - twice on the last play of the game. feels good to return the favor.

Sloppy game in Hartford with stormy weather and high winds. The offenses couldn't do much - after the game we are ranked 31 in rushing ypc and are opponents ended up 32. The passing game was only slightly more effective. The critical stat was Brooklyn fumbled 6 times and lost 5 of them which lead to a lopsided opening win for us. 2nd year QB Brandon threw an eye popping 5 TDs but only gained 5.1 yards per passing. We'll take it.

GG Death Valley

Pretty crazy game for us and we were very lucky to win this one. 2 pick 6s by Sammie Szczepaniak kept us within striking distance. Late in the game, Irv Clements led a nice drive down the field to tie the game. Our defense then stepped up and got the stop and it looked like we would be going to overtime, but Phillip Picton had other ideas. With 30 seconds left and 3 timeouts, we started the drive at our 31 yardline. Clements picked up a short gain with his legs, then found Picton on two straight plays for modest gains. That left us with a Hail Mary attempt from the 41 yardline and Picton somehow came up with it for the game winning touchdown.

Huge for us to get that win, because now we've got 3 straight road games against teams that had a winning record last year

Definitely a crazy game, start to finish. I'm not sure we watched the same game to say it could have gone either way, I would say you had the upper hand on dice roll outcomes, especially on Special Teams. I would have likely come away with a solid win if the dice rolls were evened out. We spotted you guys 14 points out the gate with the fumble on the punt to put you 1st and goal and then your punt return TD shortly thereafter.

Special teams was weird all the way around with you guys having a fumble on your own door step after we fumbled twice the drive before on your 4, which we recovered, and the next play on your 3, which we lost.

Your ST were the MVP of this game. Not only did you guys have the punt return TD, but the Millenium Falcon averages over 9 yards a punt return and you guys held him to 5 returns for -3 yards and the one huge fumble. The real game changer was the sack late in the 4th that put us in a position to attempt a 59 yard FG that was blocked and returned to setup your game winner.

I'll be happy with the same stats in our next meeting with the dice rolls evened out.

Good luck until Week 11, I'm sure it won't be nearly as hot so sweaty balls should not be a factor.

GG Aamalin wasn't thinking that was going to happen. Starting to build a little team here, even after my crap draft. Got to give a shout out to Teutoberg for help with my playbook.
