He's a fourth-year player and former first-round pick. He is under contract for the next two years at just under 4 million each year base salary. He is currently holding out and his contract demands are more than what I can sign him for even after redoing contracts. Open to either a QB swap or a draft pick.

Man, wish I hadn't just reupped Woodard or I would be all over this...if you end up keeping him then we may talk next offseason.

Woodard just stealin paychecks... 34 attempts, 11 completions for 75 yards and 2 interceptions in preseason against chumps.

Not to throw gas on a fire but me and Slim each had a DE holding out and he came and made an offer to me to swap DE's, a player and a pick. It got squashed because the holdout comes off. So I would assume the Comish would do the same thing.

I believe that was bc one of the players was just signed as a FA to a new team, nothing to do with the holdout.

Ush is right, the trade was against the Player Brokering rule and had nothing to do with the Holdout status but we already discussed this Bob, are you still unclear on why the trade was Voided.

Here it is for the last time, the trade between Boston/New Orleans was Voided because it was against the Player Brokering rule which states;

No Player Brokering: Any player signed to a free agent contract (excluding restricted FA) may NOT be traded in the same year, this applies to traded players also.

They were trying to trade players they just traded for because they were holding out, which is against the Player brokering rule.
