Our first CFL Mock Draft! We had a few owners participate and only had one consensus pick. Fun times! I will reveal the owners after the 1st round.

Final Results from the Mock Draft. We all did relatively well compared to the AI Mock. We all got between 4-6 picks correct while the AI only picked 1 correct. Green means you picked correct, yellow means you picked the correct position but wrong player and red means you missed completely. Blue are the actual picks.

Tied for 1st was BGBob and Turftoe at 6 picks correct, Zenzog had 5 correct, while Teutoberg and JJsmitty each got 4 correct.

Interesting results here and all the picks that were traded away, (4 in total) none of them were predicted correctly due to these trades. We also mocked far too many TEs as only 2 went in the 1st while 3 out of 5 owners picked 4 TEs to go in the 1st. Best streaks were stuck at 3 in a row with Teutoberg, BGBob, and Zenzog all getting 3 in a row at some point. BGBob and Turftoe also predicted the lowest pick at 22nd with TE Cancilla.

Feel free to add any more analysis!

This was not easy, as I hadn't really looked at the top of the draft since I don't have a 1st round pick.

A lot of us also selected a guy only to see he was a better fit for a team after we made the selection and found a guy later that we somehow missed earlier.

This was a fun experience and I hope to do these every year. I think I will also do better in classes where I am more familiar with the 1st round talent.

This was interesting….. Guess everyone knew I was taking a lineman based on what was available.

For sure we can do this every season! I had fun doing the mock as well. We can plan it for the Thursday night before the draft starts from now on. We started at about 930pm and finished around 1130pm, so if more people wanted to participate then we should plan for earlier. This was also a spur of the moment thing I came up with the morning of, so not everyone was aware it was even going on so there could be more interest next time.
