Interesting. I wonder if there will be more thought given to not giving away a monster veteran for a draft pick as that draft pick is so volatile.

I've been through several "39" drafts and it provides new twists and turns to the process. So far I like it. Only time will tell, but 39 seems to even the field a bit for GMs who are not as experienced with the stat side of the draft. I think it also helps teams with good scouting.

Now that I finally figured out how to draft, let's change things up. I voted 39 and will go back to drafting based on cool or strange name only.

I voted to stick at 51. I did a few 39 drafts when I was playing over at GML and there is no worse feeling than when the extremely safe looking Top 5 pick comes in to camp rated at a 30, especially when you are trying to rebuild a team and need those solid early round picks.

Good perspective for those who may have inherited a team and have no control over where they are picking.

My plan is to still still be picking 16-32 even when I have an off year, so I never considered lottery pick risk.

That being said, that's a down side to sucking.

We stayed at 51 but since it was so close we will revisit it next season and have another vote.

We usually change a rule with 60% or more votes for.
