I hate it that JeeberD talked me into publishing these earlier than I usually do...this week is a damn roller-coaster, where a big win can make you go up 10 spots or a big loss drops you 13!!! There are not enough games yet to make the points averages (for and against) significant, and they make a huge contribution to the rankings right now, making or breaking a team.

Enough rants, here are some rambling thoughts about the rankings.

Surprisingly enough, only 3 teams remain undefeated after only 3 weeks. A sign of parity in the CFL? Not surpringly, the 3 unbeaten teams seat atop the rankings. Conversely, the 4 teams without a win are all at the bottom. Cleveland ranks dead last in scoring offense and defense, and comes in with almost a perfect score, at -55 points out of a worse possible score of -57...only strength of schedule gives them the couple of points and saves the Flats from total humiliation...

Atlantic City beats up on Cleveland, thus raising their offensive rating immensely and goes up 10 spots in the rankings!

Tulsa beats up on Long Beach one week after beating up on Cleveland and also climbs 11 spots all the way to #4.

Las Vegas and El Paso both lose their 1st game of the season and suffer for it in the rankings, dropping respectively 13 and 10 spots.

The Sacramento Dragons are the best 1-2 team, after dropping their 2 games by only 3 points to 2 very tough opponents.
