Colin Sawyer went 17-19 for 150 yards in his 1st game ever in a Phantoms uniform. We could be off to a good start.

I had pretty good luck with my new QB as well.

Lane Manuel went 20/28 for 185 yards (what is he, throwing screen passes all day?) but he threw 2 picks.

Overall I'm pleased though.

I would like to thank Albany for doing their part in improving undrafted free agent QB Artie Weinke's self-esteem. Weinke went 20/33 for 246 yards with 2 TD and 2 INTs. Not the best numbers in the world, but light-years better than I would've expected.

But the nail in the coffin HAS to be from Vegas' first preseason game: 24 rushes for 119 yards. That's 4.9 ypc...RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! THE SKY IS FALLING!

Oh, and if that doesn't do it for you, the Chicago Bears WILL beat the Green Bay Packers in Chicago this year.

I lost by two, but I didn't give up an offensive touchdown and several of my rookies played. The bad news is that I lost my back-up fullback for nearly the entire season (19 weeks) with a freakin' ankle sprain. And I don't have the money to sign another one. Ah well...
