Shreveport might get a few this season, despite our terrible record.

1. LT Daniel Braddy - In his 13th season, Daniel Braddy showed the youngsters how to play some ball. Along with an impressive 39.7%(31 of 78 ) run blocking percentage, he allowed 0 (yes that's a goose egg) sacks on 566 pass plays during the entire season. This all done facing some of the best RDE's in the league, including (but not limited to): CHT-Casey Bousquet, DET-Scott Flowers, TUC-Isaiah Melo, and MEM-Horace Williams (twice). This kind of performance deserves first team honors. This would be his first time as an all-pro.

2. SLB James Gregor - James has been elected to the second team all-pro twice in his career. This year, I think he's definitly got what it takes to make second team and maybe even enough for first team. In 16 games played, Gregor posted 100 tackles, 32 assists, 2 hurries, 2 INT's, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 7 passes defensed, versus 42 caught. If Joshua Mask is the soul of the Shreveport defense, then James Gregor is its primal rage, always taking the opportunity to pump the team up.

3. LCB Erwin Koch - Erwin didn't have a stellar season by his account, but did set a new Shreveport record for passes defended with 24. Koch hasn't been too much of a ball hawk in Shreveport, but he has been a shut down corner. Conversely, even though he only recorded 1 INT, he scooped up 4 fumbles and returned 1 for a TD. He allowed only 41 passes caught against him and recorde 56 tackles and a sack and a half. While I don't think that this performance will land him first team honors, he may be able to slip in for second team honors.

Let's hear what you got.

I ain't got much, but here goes:

1. DE Isaiah Melo - the 10th year pro performed admirably during his second season in Tucson, logging 40 tackles, 10 assist, 8.5 sacks, [ifb71333]38 hurries[/ifb71333], 4 blocked passes, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries. Amazingly, Melo has only received one previous all-pro nod, as a 2nd-teamer in 2003.

2. SS Mitchel Enoch - The 7-year pro had another excellent year for Tucson. He registered 79 solo tackles with 38 assists, 1 sack, 3 INTs, 23 passes defensed (vs. just 42 catches), 2 forced fumbles, and one recovered. Mitchel has also never been an all-pro.

3. RB Drew Holliday - The 2006 OROY managed to avoid the sophomore slump, despite watching his previously solid O-line collapse into giant heaps of quivering, injured protoplasm. He carried the ball 325 times for 1338 yards and 10 TDs, caught 19 passes for 117 yards, and cut his 2006 fumble total in half (to 5).

I don't think any of those guys will get an all-pro nod this year, but they're my best candidates. I would like to see DE Lance Crane (8.5 sacks, 3 blocked passes, 15 hurries) get some consideration for DROY, but I suspect that the game's heavy emphasis on tackles will sink him.

This is what you should expect from Koch... he'll defense a crap load of passes, won't allow a ton of catches, but he'll frustrate you that he does not get more INTs...

I'm expecting Rounds to be an all-pro after his career year. Should be first team unless that scrub from Chicago beats him out. Offensive Player of the Year would be nice too. Maybe one of my lineman will make the team too. But I don't know if any of them actually played the full season.

[b6a86195]Monty Boyd [/b6a86195]had the kinda of season I expected out of him when I traded for him at the start of this season to replace injured Wadsworth. His less than impressive YPC is made up by his good receiving numbers. All that for the price of a backup fullback! :D I don't really expect him to be an all-pro, mainly because of the competition against him.
[u6a86195]Stats[/u6a86195]: 1362 run yds, 7 run TDs
47 receptions for 335 yds, 6 receiving TDs

[b6a86195]TE Brian 'the Man' Manos [/b6a86195]had another outstanding season. It helps that there are no other worthy receivers on the Vampires roster. (we don't call it our 'receiving corpse' for nothing!). I'm not sure Manos will make the all-pro, as San Antonio TE Vanderbergh also had a great season.
[u6a86195]Stats:[/u6a86195] 87 catches for 1107 yds and 5 TDs, 302 yards after catch (3rd overall in the league, and he's just a damn TE!)

C[b6a86195] Herman Tarver [/b6a86195]had his best season so far. In his 5th season in Detroit, he is one of the best centers in the league right now.
[u6a86195]Stats[/u6a86195]: 42 KRBs (39.6%), 0 sacks allowed.

[b019f11c]QB Lane Manuel[/b019f11c] - 4,492 yards and 39 TD. The 16 interceptions stinks but otherwise he racked it up this year.

[b019f11c]WR Kelley McCaleb[/b019f11c] - Should be a no-brainer selection. 84 catches for 1,810 yards and 18 TD (league record).

[b019f11c]NT Albert Poole[/b019f11c] - While most of his stats aren't that impressive (40 tackles and 5 sacks) he did have [b019f11c]41 QB hurries[/b019f11c] which is insane for a nose tackle.

[b8a78184]RB Butch Fulton[/b8a78184]- Even though he has been swept under the rug by most people in the league in favor of the bigger names like Liszkiewicz and Spearman. Fulton had his best season to date with 1,539 yards rushing, 10 TDs and one of the highest YPC in the league at 4.29. He also caught the ball for 479 yards and 2 TDs...He had over 2,000 total yards and should be the 2nd team RB.

and thats it :(

[bf8a9430]QB Edward Kimber[/bf8a9430] - He did lead the league in passer rating (100.8) and rushed for 401 yards, but only threw for 3,380 yards (18th in league) and 26 TDs (12th in league). He's a good quarterback, but I ran more than I passed this year so Kimber is a long shot to win an award. I'm mentioning him anyway.

[bf8a9430]C Earnest Fant[/bf8a9430] - 38 KRB (5th among centers) in 139 opportunities (1st among centers). Only allowed 4 sacks on the year.

[bf8a9430]LG Hunter Jaimes[/bf8a9430] - All-League 1st Team Guard two years in a row, hoping to make it three. 40 KRB (2nd among guards) in 122 opportunities (2nd among guards). Only allowed 4 sacks on the year.

[b0c27252]LDE Zachery Aaron[/b0c27252] - Aaron had a quiet 11 sacks to tie for the league lead in sacks despite only playing in 15 games. I would be disappointed if he did not get at least 2nd team honors. He also had 7 blocks and 23 hurries, which while not great, equaled or bettered his co-leader in sacks.

Feeney, McDonald, and Jackpot had a solid year with Feeney and McDonald coming in at #6 and #2 respectively in Average/Catch. The deep threat still exists and once the running game gets dialed in, the Rounders will make a stab at double-digit wins and possibly the playoffs in 2008. Jackpot is gunning for Tucson and Honolulu...

Brady- Fulton had 100 less yards, but 8 more TDs and a higher YPC. They had very similar recieving stats with Brady having 2 more TDs. It will be close, but I'm hoping Fulton gets the award :D

Randolph Kranz, QB - 4772 yds, 37 tds. Lead the team to a nice season, even when he lost most of his receivers late.

Cleveland Coon, SE, 1374 yds 14 tds and had 2-200+ yard games. (and he was hurt for the final 3 weeks of the season)

Ronald Tibbets, FL, 1496 yds, 9 tds. This guy doesn't have the greatest stats, but he gets the job done.

Darnell Steele, FB 7 rec tds. His loss more than most are why I believe I wille exit the playoffs early.

Teddy Yuan, SLB - 118 tackles, 3 int. Monster year.

Floyd Lewis, MLB - 100 tackles, 4.5 sacks. These two won me some game, especially since most of mine ended in 4th quarter comebacks.
