If Team A trades a player who's on a multi-year contract to Team B, is it true that:

1. Team A is responsible for the entirety of the existing bonus, while Team B is only responsible for paying base salary?

2. If #1 is true, Team A takes the cap hit the same as they'd take it if they released the player (the current bonus hit for current year, then the rest of the bonus in the following year)?

That's what I'm going for. I've got a tough road through Santa Cruz and likely Honolulu to even get to the Bowl.

I'm telling you, the ol' Grid Man is predicting a walk in the park for Anchorage.

You heard it here first.
