Well, I made my move to get a franchise QB. Let's hope that Carl Bradford is the right guy for the Pride. He's got 2 monster tackles and a running game to protect him. Hopefully that will be good enough to keep him healthy enough to learn the ropes for a couple of years.

I did not scout any QB's but just curious what people thought of the top 2 QB's out there, Bradford and Walker. Is Bradford the consensus #1?

I doubt there will be a consensus, but obviously you can see where my vote went. I'll be interested to see how the two compare against each other throughout the years.

Wasn't keen on who was available but Shannon was the best guy available at a position where he's instantly the best on my team, is rated as underrated by my scout, and has superior combine skills

I wasn't keen on either of them to be honest, not as a franchise QB at least

I wasn't happy knowing that either of those 2 players could be going to Honolulu.

Bradford and Shannon are both franchise players at their respective positions IMO.

The only concern about Shannon is that he might be too good to be true. Hutchinson was an absolute stud in the 2014 draft and while he had a good season and was productive, he wasn't the best DE in the draft.

i wasn't too crazy about either qb, but if i had to choose i'd go walker. that being said, i think they will be comparable.

It's kind of wierd having a good DT. I dont think I've had a semi-decent one ever here. Hawaii was built with a good QB and a good back 7

We get a very good CB in Hugh Fuller from Fairfield. Our scouts really liked him and it's rare for a cb to not only be great at reading the play but interceptions AND a big hitter as well. His bars are maxed out, or nearly so, in every category but kick/punt returns. And that's okay. He'll stay at RCB and CB Oscar Drake will be moved back to LCB. Should go very well with FS Guagliardo, a third year man with very good future.

Defense continues to improve. ..

The only thing that kept me from interviewing and/or drafting him was his run defense. His bar in that one area alone disqualified him for me. Hopefully for the Sundevils he won't be a bust, but I needed a well rounded defender. . .

that was a concern for me too, but my scout has him as very underrated and all those red combine numbers were impressive.

I went back and forth between Summers and Griffith, and the run defense was the difference, but all three CB's drafted will be studs I am sure. Only a few points will seperate them I bet

you surprised me with that pick BD, I had Griffith as my first choice and my Fairfield Stag as the second db. . . .

I was hoping to get one of the CBs at 1.8 but since I didn't...

With the 8th selection in the 2015 CFL Draft, the Anchorage Wolfpack take RG Bernard Small from Colgate.

I don't think there have been any poor picks so far, but I'm still sort of surprised that WR Tosheff fell all the way to 9th. Very nice pickup for Baltimore.

Wanted Corwin and Biggs, decided to take Biggs first at 10 and wouldnt you know it Tulsa had Corwin in the utility, now if I had taken Corwin first I would have got both guys I wanted, oh well hopefully Fling can fill the hole at SE.

Heh, yeah you could've gotten both. I was really happy to get him, if he would've been taken before then I would've been forced to look around and possibly trade down as there was no one else I really wanted.

Corwin was considered overrated, but my team is so horrible at WR he will easily be the best player at that position on my team.

with my current setup in my hotel room, i was having trouble getting any kind of file submitted, so I haven't gotten interviews done before my 1.13 pick. DT Alkateeb would have probably been my pick at 1.10, so my trade with santa cruz really paid off. 6 of the first 45 picks in the draft, and the Crows need the help. hopefully i will not hold things up much, but even with my interviews going through in the morning, i will not have access to the game until late that night. But, i can look at the draft class page and stuff from work and will try to keep from slowing it down much

And with the 14th Pick in the 2015 CFL Draft, the Boston Red Devils select, SE Charles Thomason.

Now that I have done that, anyone have feedback from what their scouts said about him? I'm still not confident on understanding the scout thing yet. (you think I would after 2 'seasons'

My scout had Thomason overated, but I was looking at him for a possible 2nd round pick if he fell. I doubt he would have gotten there based on the need for WR in the league.

Actually I had the three CB's on the top of my list. Guess everybody else had the same idea.

My scout said Thomason was Underrated but only had his future scouted in the 55 range.

I think you may have a slow creeper on your hands.
