[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet31.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]1. Detroit Biohazzard - DE Scott Flowers - Harvard[/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
No surprise here at all. Flowers, who grew up in Detriot, is by far the best prospect in the draft. Not only does he run a 4.6 40, he also managed 42 bench reps at the combine. Rare combo of strength and speed, and not surprisingly the Harvard grad will also be one of the smartest players on the field. Lack of top competition in college is somewhat of a concern, though you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't think he'll be All Pro some day soon.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet08.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]2. Hartford (from Tulsa) - T Chad Oroumieh - Florida State [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Hartford jumped ahead of El Paso to pick up Oromeih. Oromeih is an athletic tackle, who although he lacks size is a strong, physical player who should be guarding the blindside of James Oberg for years to come. Strong in pass protection and was often seen finishing blocks downfield on rush at Florida State last year.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet07.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]3. El Paso - FL Tom Sonkin - San Jose State [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Sonkin wasn't expected to go this high, though the pick makes sense for El Paso. With young players at the positions of other top players which caused them to try to trade down, but this left the Rockets were free to go after a wideout. Sonkin is also thought to be the only legitimate recieving threat in the years draft, as he came through with big play after big play at San Diego State, which makes this pick even better.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet18.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]4. Tulsa (from Hartford) - RB Butch Fulton - American International [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Knowing division rival El Paso wouldn't take him, Tulsa dropped two spots to pick up Fulton could be the final piece to a Talon team that was rebuilt through free agency. He has trouble making tacklers miss, though he is an incredible north/south runner. Holds onto the ball well and is an excellent reciever out of the backfield.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet27.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]5. Seattle - LT Howie Aaron - Alabama A&M [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
With tackle a top need for Seattle this pick was a no brainer. He doesn't have the best technique but has the strength to plow almost anyone out of the way. He is still raw so he may not be able to step in and be a great starter right now, he should help solidify Seattle's offensive line down the road.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet05.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]6. Santa Cruz - C Ethan Capoccia - Stanford [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Six is high to take a center, but Capoccia's ability justifies the pick. He shut down the best interior linemen in the Pac 10 and got to the second level quickly on run plays. The near 300 pounder also excellent on special teams as well, getting downfield from the longsnapper position to make several plays.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet02.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]7. New Orleans - DE Leon Bronson - Mississippi State [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Overshadowed this year by Flowers, Bronson gives the Breakers a strong pass rush off the end. Bronson ran a 4.63 40 and did 38 bench press reps at the combine, behind only Flowers at the end position. He's not as good a run defender, but he set the SEC single season sack record could be one of the most prolific sack artists in the CFL.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet06.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]8. Shreveport (from San Antonio) - CB Brady Scott - Penn State [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Scott left school a year early after having a stellar junior year at Penn State, while many felt he could be a top 3 pick next year. His talent is still deserving of the eighth pick, though he may see limiting playing time this season. Scott is not only a oustanding cover corner, he is also very strong against the run despite his small size. Is a raw prospect, though he has the potential to be a shutdown corner.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet21.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]9. Fargo (From Arizona) - QB Dwayne Bridges - Michigan [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Fargo surprised many by moving up and making this pick. They filled several holes through free agency, but it is thought that they could still benefit from taking a defensive tackle, safety, or a guard. Bridges was three year starter at Michigan and has a strong and accurate arm, but most years he would not be a top ten pick. He likely won't start this season and the success of Fargo's next several seasons will likely hinge on his development.

[imgfde18fb]http://www.thecfl.net/cfl/helmet11.jpg[/imgfde18fb][size=18fde18fb] [bfde18fb]10. Chicago - S Clay Campbell - Southern Mississippi [/bfde18fb][/sizefde18fb]
Another pick of a position that usually doesn't go in the top ten, but once again it's justified by talent. Campbell won the Thorpe award as the best defensive back in college football last year as he was able to shut down the run and pass single handedly at times. He doesn't deliver the biggest hits, but he's a sure tackler who can quickly come up from the safety spot to stop a runningback at the line.
