[b0eb26d6][u0eb26d6]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b0eb26d6][/u0eb26d6]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the Detroit Vampires and won by the final score of 30-24. Torpedoes WR [player]Raymond Lyon[/player] was named MVP as he recorded 6 receptions for 159 yards (26.5 Ypc) with a TD. Offensively, the Torpedoes moved the ball very well through the air, but their run game was limited. The Torpedoes allowed 4 sacks and turned the ball over twice. The Torpedoes made key 3rd down conversions. The Torpedoes scored 20 points on 4 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes controlled the clock and set the pace of the game. Defensively, the Torpedoes were solid as they held the Vampires to 282 total yards of offense. The Torpedoes forced 2 turnovers. The Torpedoes made key stops on 3rd down. The Torpedoes allowed 17 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit atop the AC Atlantic. The Torpedoes (4-2) travel to play the Charleston Monitors (4-2) in an AC Atlantic showdown next week and the division lead is on the line for both teams. Can the Torpedoes remain atop the AC Atlantic with a win on the road or will the Monitors move to the top of the division with a win at home?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We bounced back nicely this week with a win at home and lead the AC Atlantic. We need to find ways to improve and we'll review the game film. We need to take this momentum into our game next week against the Charleston Monitors on the road. This is a crucial game for our team and we need to find a way to win this game to stay atop the AC Atlantic. We need to set the tone early on defense, balance our attack, and limit mental mistakes if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
