Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes traveled to play the Memphis Express and slipped by with a 37-31 win. Torpedoes QB [player]Corwin Ellard[/player] was named MVP as he completed 28 of 42 passes (66.7%) for 280 yards with 2 TD's and an INT. Offensively, the Torpedoes were explosive as they recorded 403 total yards. The Torpedoes turned the ball over twice. The Torpedoes made key conversions on 3rd down. The Torpedoes scored 20 points on 4 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes controlled the clock and set the pace of the game. Defensively, the Torpedoes limited the Express passing game, but struggled against the run. The Torpedoes turned the ball over twice. The Torpedoes allowed the Express to convert on key 3rd downs. The Torpedoes allowed 31 points on 5 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit in 3rd place of the AC ATLANTIC. The Torpedoes host the New Orleans Raging Horde (2-2) next week and need to find a way to win this game. Torpedoes RB Jerome Strickland will be facing his former team for the first time he was traded to the Torpedoes, so emotions will run high. Can the Torpedoes win at home or will the Raging Horde find a way to win on the road?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We bounced back and got a solid road victory this week. We have a Playoff caliber team in place and need to find a way to get back to the AC Playoffs. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We have a big game next week at home against the New Orleans Raging Horde. I spoke to Jerome (Strickland) and he's amped up for this game. We need to establish our run game, play sound fundamental defense, and get after them quickly if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
