[b8fe8c6b][u8fe8c6b]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b8fe8c6b][/u8fe8c6b]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the Charleston Monitors in an AC ATLANTIC showdown and lost by the final score of 24-21. Monitors QB [player]T.J. Boyer[/player] was named MVP as he completed 23 of 29 passes (79.3%) for 260 yards with 2 TD's. Torpedoes rookie QB [player]Casey Wolf[/player] got his first career start. Wolf was fairly impressive as he completed 24 of 33 passes (72.7%) for 229 yards with 2 TD's. Offensively, the Torpedoes had some success moving the ball through the air, but their run game was contained. The Torpedoes allowed 2 sacks. The Torpedoes struggled to convert on 3rd down. The Torpedoes scored 21 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. Defensively, the Torpedoes contained the Monitors run game, but struggled against the pass. The Torpedoes recorded 2 sacks. The Torpedoes made key stops on 3rd down. The Torpedoes allowed 21 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit in last place of the AC ATLANTIC. The Torpedoes (2-4) travel to play the Shreveport Pride (5-0) next week and are in for a tough game. Can the Torpedoes find a way to win on the road to bring an end to their 2 game losing streak or will the Pride win at home to remain unbeaten?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "This was another disappointing loss. We lost 3 games by 3 points or less now and need to find a way to finish our games. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We travel to play the Shreveport Pride next week and are in for a tough game. They are unbeaten and have a great team, so we need to find a way to hand them their first loss of the season. We need to take their crowd out of the game, set the tone early on defense, and find a way to get our ground game going if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
