[b017ec54][u017ec54]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b017ec54][/u017ec54]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes hosted the Baltimore Bombers in an AC ATLANTIC showdown and were blown out by the final score of 29-10. Bombers RB [player]Johnny Chiaverini[/player] was named MVP as he recorded 15 carries for 74 yards (4.9 Ypc) with 2 TD's and 3 receptions for 28 yards (9.3 Ypc). Offensively, the Torpedoes moved the ball very well on the ground, but their passing game was limited. The Torpedoes allowed 4 sacks and turned the ball over 3 times, which made the difference in this game. The Torpedoes struggled to convert on 3rd down. Defensively, the Torpedoes contained the Bombers run game and limited their passing game. The Torpedoes recorded 2 sacks. The Torpedoes made key stops on 3rd down. The Torpedoes held the Bombers to 10 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit in last place of the AC ATLANTIC, but there is still a glimmer of hope to salvage the season. The Torpedoes (3-6) travel to play the rival Durham Bulldogs (4-5) in an AC ATLANTIC showdown next week and need to find a way to win this game.

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We had piss poor execution this week and blew our opportunities. We need to step it up and play a lot better. You won't win many games in the CFL if you play like we did today. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We need to get better in a hurry if we are going to turn this season around. We travel to play the Durham Bulldogs next week and must win that game. There is no love lost between our 2 teams and this will be a physical game. We need to beat the fleas off these dogs and put them in the dog house where they belong. They are a bunch of classless bozos and losing to them would be like kissing your sister. We know that in Durham kissing your sister may be a good thing, but down here in Tampa Bay it's unacceptable. We will get all of our shots up to date and travel to the 3rd world place known as Durham for this showdown. We only make one guarantee...We will put a hurting on these flea bags!"
