In Damon Whalen's first draft as GM of the Tennessee Militia he had to prove that he could help this team accumulate the talent it needed for long term success. For the time being it seems he has. The Solecismic Draft Review gave the Militia draft an A, listed only behind three teams.

1.15 [player]Wesley Sample[/player] LT SMU
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... ineman.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... ineman.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The 6'5" 310 lb tackle may be the anchor piece of what is developing into one of the good young offensive lines in the league.
Scouted 27/65

2.14 [player]Jimmy Schuler[/player] SLB Kentucky
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... uckyLB.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... uckyLB.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This 6'2" 244 lb linebacker was drafted to shore up the Militia run defense and add depth to the 3-4 linebacking corps in Tennessee
Scouted 24/49

2.29 [player]Alvin Eichler[/player] WR Indiana
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... ianaWR.jpg" target="_blank"></a>

The Hoosier wide receiver was drafted to provide a big-play target for Emmanuel Cole.
Scouted 25/53

4.16 [player]Sean Swift[/player] QB Duke
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... DukeQB.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... DukeQB.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This smart quarterback with a penchant for running should provide a quality long term back up for Emmanuel Cole.
Scouted 11/55

4.29 [player]Jake Matthews[/player] CB Stanford
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... fordCB.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... fordCB.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Jake Matthews should strengthen what is an average secondary at best. This is one of the reinforcements the defense had been waiting for last season.
Scouted 21/47

5.15 [player]Darrin Smaron[/player] C Maryland
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... ylandC.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... ylandC.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Tennessee was excited to see this player still available in the fifth round. The team expects this 6'2" 290 lb center to play on this line for years to come.
Scouted 15/68

7.17 [player]Wayne Frost[/player] FS Temple
<a href="http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... safety.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc19 ... safety.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Frost was drafted to strengthen the pass defense. at 6' 213 lb he looks to unnerve quarterbacks all around the league.
Scouted 16/44
