10 weeks into their second season the Tulsa Talons looked slightly improved over their preformance last season. The Talons hold a 3-7 record after beating Denver, Memphis and El Paso. This week the Talons travel to New Orleans to face the Breakers. The team will be without 4 defensive starters. It should be a tough game, but if the offense preforms it is a game the team can win.

In other Talon new rookie RB Butch Fulton is closing on 1,000 yards. In 10 starts he has 816 yards on 228 carries and 3 TDs. Right now he is on pace to finish the season with 1,300 yards, a very good number for a rookie. 2nd round pick, DT Vince George has started all 10 games up to this point, and has been considered a pleasent suprise by coaches. The other first round pick, WR Campbell is currently starting for the injured Michael Freeny. He has caught 15 passes for 159 yards, not great numbers but respectable for a rookie in a run heavy offense.

Although it appears the Talons will have another below average season team officials are very happy with the future of the team, the only starter not signed for next year is G Rupert Heyer and he is currently in negotiations. It is believed a deal could come as early as tonight. With all their starters returning and an added year of experience the team is hoping to make a run for the division title next season.
