I'm having some computer issues, which I hope will be resolved in time for the sim tonight. My computer won't start windows properly and is going through some sort of "startup repair" process that was supposed to take an hour. It started 45 minutes ago, so I'm hopeful that this'll finish up on time. But it might not - I'll keep y'all apprised.

The so-called "system repair" didn't, and I'm still struggling just to get my machine to boot up in safe mode. It's looking unlikely that the sim will get run tonight, and I have a full day of work ahead of me tomorrow so I'm unsure when I'll be able to get this fixed.

Tomorrow happens to be my birthday, so I'm wondering if I'll be getting myself a new rig as a present. Hmmm...

Well, balls. I've had my share of CPU problems, so I know it blows. This builds some extra playoff suspense, I guess.

System restore didn't work either. Not sure what's going on, but it doesn't look good. I'm trying the windows memory diagnostic tool now. *crosses fingers*

For reasons that I do not understand, my system is suddenly working. I'll run the sim pronto, before it goes kaplooey for good.
