Game Report: Hartford 31, Atlantic City 14
Week 1

PLAYER OF THE GAME
QB Tyrone Dillon

As expected, ACI didn’t generate a lot offense but Dillon did well within the constraints of the conservative offense. He was 18/25, 130 yards with a rating of 80.4. The biggest downside was throwing one interception. Look for the Phantoms to open the playbook a bit more as the season progresses.

NOTE: How bad is your offense when 130 yards passing is the player of the game?

MISSING IN ACTION
Run Defense
There was quite a bit of money spent on the defense and in week 1 it was not a pretty sight. Hartford rushed for 174 yards while Graham Burks ran for 106 with over 7 yards per carry.

TURNING POINT
This game was actually much closer than the box score would indicate. With 9:54 left in the game, ACI was down 21-14 with the ball on their own 20. Three players later, a fumble led to a Hartford touchdown and this game was all but over.

If YOU MISSED IT
• OLB Edwin Stoners debut: 9 tackles, 1 assist, 1 pass defense. He was all over the field in the first half but had a very quiet second half.
• Hartford was 11/14 for 156 yards on medium passes. This is one of the big areas that ACI will look to improve on in week 2.
• One of the few positives to take from the game was ACI was in the red zone twice and scored touchdowns both times.

BY THE NUMBERS
13 - BlOpp by Hartfords Rod Wirthel. This guy is a beast
6 - Penalties on ACI
3 - Drops by ACI

UP NEXT
Honolulu (0-1)

Glad to hear that. I enjoy doing it. As long as life doesn't get in the way, I will continue.
