AP Texas
Rumors have been running hot in Texas the last few days. There is a wild rumor that QB Harry Reese may be leaving Texas. An anonymous source has told us that there have been intense trade negotiations between Texas and an unknown team. The source said that multiple picks, a replacement QB and a top flight DB have been offered.
Reese has been an inconsistent performer for Texas despite his all world talent. In Reese's 7 year career he has posted an 85.8 QB rating, including a 69.4 rating this season. Reese has thrown 147 TDs and 72 interceptions, a paltry 2 to 1 TD to interception ratio.
Texas coach Chad Peterson has changed the Texas offense last season, his first as HC, to maximize Reese's talent. Reese did have his best season, but still struggled. Coach Peterson has questioned Reese's commitment to football in several press conferences. Including last season, when he wondered why Reese was in Mexico for 2 months with Kate Upton instead of learning the new system. After the playoffs when the Infereno was bounced in the conferecne finals, Peterson was questioning why Reese bolted from the locker room and was seen the next day in Jamaica with Ziggy Marley lounging on the beach.
When Texs GM Tarc was contacted, he said "We have no intention of trading Reese at this point. He just led us to the conference finals. We have a young receiving corp and Harry needs to get comfortable with them. Trading Reese would be something that would cost a team A LOT. And I'm not sure any team would come with the juice that would fuel that fire."
Stay tuned Inferno and CFL fans, this might get interesting.
