I'm not sure if you submitted a gp or not, but I actually turned the game off the first time after we let you march down the field and score effortlessly on your first drive, followed by us moving backwards and punting into your end zone on our first possession.

I was not expecting this to be the game where Vegas took Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.

We should be the team everyone wants to play as we clearly play to the level of our opponent and make every game interesting. Whether you have no wins or no defeats it's guaranteed to be a coin toss with us.

See you again soon!

LOL You almost jinxed us....

GG bgbob..... The refs got a little happy with the flag tossing.

You really did a good job of shutting our Offense down, and the refs did a great job of shutting down yours..... I almost feel bad about wining that one.

You got "Shreveported"!!

Detroit, MI -- The Vampires have come home after 3 weeks away (or on bye) and the atmosphere at La-Z-Boy Stadium was electric as Detroit welcomed Kansas City for the first of their two games in 2057. Many analysts were favoring Detroit heavily for the first time this season, but no one could be prepared for the carnival ahead.

Both teams ran well in the early goings of the game and it would be KCY to strike first with a field goal after chewing up 6 minutes of clock. RB Marsh and TE Sims would carry the load and return fire with 7 after several big gains took DET into the red zone. QB Mitchem and WR Von Wyss had a slow start but would also find the connection on the second drive for his first TD with Detroit, leaping over SS Sanford to break the plane.

KCY would march up the field again but key tackles from the defense would keep KCY from reaching the end zone. QB Grueneich continued to frustrate the heavy pass rush from Gradkowski and the Detroit defense, capitalizing on a flubbed 4th down conversion attempt from QB Mitchem, and the game was on.

In the back and forth of the 2nd half, Detroit struggled to protect QB Mitchem and the aggressive KCY DL was drawing a lot of yellow flags from the officials. Multiple big gains on the ground were called back and frustration was mounting. A massive punt by P Blake pinned Detroit at their own 3 late in the 4th qtr and the ball went back to KCY with a very short field. Grueneich found KCY their first lead of the game with 1:10 left on the clock, going up 25-20 as WR K.C. Van Pelt shook CB Louis in the end zone.

The stands began to empty as older Detroit fans could see this train pulling into the station, but QB Mitchem had something else planned. A pinpoint strike to TE Voinovich for 33 yards as he bullied past KCY WLB Fleming kicked off the drive.
Tackled in bounds, time out.
KCY wouldn't make the same mistake on the next play, crowding the passing lane and forcing Mitchem to go underneath to WR Von Wyss, tackled in the middle of the field.
Clock ticking, time out.
44 seconds on the clock and Voinovich and Sims would take a breather and a rare 4 wideout package gets on the field. WR Von Wyss takes off deep and pulls CB Elliott and FS Faylor with him. Mitchem cycles to his next read, Weber in the slot. CB Collins is in his hip pocket and Mitchem goes to the final read, WR Stevenson on a slant route inside and underneath the safeties. CB Howerton played off and gave up the inside release and it was only DB Sanford between Grady and green grass.

28-25. Detroit rolls on to face Tuscon in week 12. Kansas City continues their 4 game road trip at Los Angeles.

GG citronvert

Very entertaining game, tie game with 4 minutes left to play and we convert a 3rd and 12 and then a 3rd and 10 on two beautiful corner routes. I wish we could have punched it in for a touchdown from the 4, but we were able to kick a field goal with a minute left to take the lead.

Good luck the rest of the season

Amadro returned this week with his worst performance of the season grinding out an ugly game to put a notch in the 3rd column.

Anyway, gg ternvig! A shocker of a game but KCY certainly looks like a tough out down the stretch. I envy the teams with stud QBs and probably only came out of there with a W because SS Brewer got knocked out early in the game...

I'll do a quick review and toss out some predictions for HON @ IWC(-1), KCY @ LAS(-2), and BAL @ ORE(-8)

GG Aamalin

Yeah I feel bad about you winning that one too. Well at least I should get a nice first round pick, OOHH that's right I traded it away for a RB to get hurt and sit on my bench. Well at least it was only one 1st round pick.... LOL

GG Vitostallion, Congrats on the win. If my primary QB wasn't out with a sprained thumb and my RT out with Tobacco Withdrawal (STILL!) it might have been a different story.

BOS ACI - Well, I felt pretty good about the prediction through 2 quarters, but ACI collapsed in the 2nd half. On the first drive in the 3Q, a flag gave BOS a 1st down at the ACI03 instead of forcing a field goal. Then ACI threw an interception... good adjustments by BOS I guess, allowing only 116 yds after the break.

HON LVS - Not too much to say about this one, HON went up 10-0 and then got outscored 34-3. I guess the collapse started with a muffed punt towards the end of the 1st quarter, Harvey McKnight wasn't gonna let that one go without a TD. The DE duo of Johnstone and Anagnostis put the clamps on Cooper Allen and that really killed the more promising drives that HON had throughout the game. HON looked to pass on just about every 3rd down play and basically never converted... coach probably should've leaned a little more on the run game. Devan Gaiter now out for 3 weeks looking pretty rough for HON up against IWC this week.

TEN NOS - What on God's green earth happened here... I was going through this log and I see New Orleans got 5 injured players?? And they still covered and probably should've won? RT Will Perez sprained thumb, RCB Kirk Ruoff pulled groin, DT Alex Terry strained quad, SS Carlton Langen broken finger ALL in the first quarter. WR Mason Baker strained rotator cuff in the 4th quarter just the cherry on top. TEN should really thank their lucky stars that NOS shot themselves in the foot in the 4th quarter with a horrific roughing the kicker penalty that lead to a TD instead of a missed FG. I'm feeling a little better about DET's chances against TEN, but we'll see in two weeks.

Looking like a smooth 0/3 picks against the spread week.

Loving every part of it :D Great write up! and congrats on the win. For some reason, I wasn't all that gutted by your 0:44 game winning drive.

Very excellent run game with an avg of 8.0 on 23 att and an impressive and safe passing game. Tried to counter your TE passing lane with some Tampa-2 - didn't pay off.

I tried to take advantage of your undersized CB - but he just ended up with 12 tackles - Roy "Honey badger" Irwin.

Quite surprised that your very talented unit of blitzing LBs didn't do more damage to my passing game.

Good game and good luck going forward Zenzog

You wouldn't be referring to my injured RB rotting on the bench that I paid 3 1st round picks for would you? lol

Your D embarrassed Hughes with 4 picks and we failed on 3rd down. With us losing that game you're in a good spot to win the division unless you fall apart the last few weeks. Good luck the rest of the way.

GG Miami, and thanks. After Fargo put a whuppin' on us last game, we had to go into the bye week licking our wounds. And it was good to get a win with some flourish. Now, I'm worried the latest spate of injuries aren't too much to over come. I had to dip into the free agent pool as both of my starting guards are out with significant injuries. And a piecemeal O-line against a stacked Boston team is a tall order. The Denver D needs to keep up the pressure and make the job easier on my passable, but shaky in the second half yeoman QB.

Good luck the rest of the way.
Baldy
