Facing a dnagerous KCY team who like ELP have a nice stable of receivers will have ot see if we can find the formula to contain them and avoid TOs on O.

Our passing game drives an opening TD as we spread it around the field. KCY gets a nice KR and TE screen gain and dinks their way to the RZ and finds another TE over the top for 6. We are dusting and Mitchem converts 3 straight 3rd downs as we roll into the RZ but Holzer coughs it up adn we lose it. KCY opens it up a bit and Juan finds some success on 3rd overcomign sacks and penalties to convert 3 3rd and longs en route ot another TD.

Te Robertson gets us a nice YAc chunk but we peeter out at midfield and boot it away. We finally get a stop via our rush on 3rd and Crabtree gets a YAC chunk for us on 3rd and long as we grind our way to the RZ and find Fence on PA to tie things up. Gruenich is just destroying us downfield on the blitzes on early downs but we get them with a couple sacks in the orange zone.

Well they are just shutting down our run game and we had the TO while yielding way too many 3rd and longs. Should be an intersting 2nd half.

Pretty similar for KCY to start, reaches the orange zone with ease but a sack leaves them just outsides of FG range. We go backwards and face a 3rd and 15 from our half yard line and Crabtree bails us out but can't repeat the magic as we go thrice incomplete downfield with former Sodbuster and bowl run MVP S Brewer getting a couple PBUs. KCY take sover in oru territory but we force the 3andO with a bit of everything and KCY comes away with no points pinning us inside our 10 for the 3rd or 4th time today. We can't do more than get it off our end and KCY hit senough intermediate passes to get tehir go ahead TD early in the 4th but missses the XP.

Drops and penalties mess up our first effort in the 4th a poor punt and good PR means KCY takes over near midfield. One screen gain and they are in FG range and they use some trickery adn passes ot the bacsk to get into the RZ with Juan tossign the TD on 3rd from our 3 yard line. We are officially in hurry up now down 13 with less than 8 imnute sleft, back to back false starts make it tough and oru hurry up playcalls are def not lacking in aggression so we are only getting 1/4 complete but that is good enough unless you get one of them called back on a hold. KCy takes the clock down to the 2 minute mark and we use all oru TOs essentially ending things.

Mmmmm....poor running, another lost fumble, Mitchems dead arm , terrible 3rd down D and penalties once more all contributed to our loss.

Too early to tell if these problems will be season long but things are not looking goo in Fargo.

Nice job by you Ternvig, you have really built a nice squad there and I was really conflicted trying to GP for your playcalls on both sides of the ball.

GGs Baldy, quite the slopfest at Mile High this week...

But I'm glad the stern talking to I gave to Cockburn worked:
4-2-DEN40 (2Q: 03:23) Reginald Burton ran around right end for 10 yards. Tackled by S Dillon Asavamonchai, assisted by DT Pete Vance. Key block delivered by Evan Fletcher.

The VooDoo are looking strong so far. My youngsters are going to give the CFL some fits this year.

Good Luck till next time.

GG Flex - we had a good showing on offense, on defense we need to fix some stuff as Reis and Terry ran as free as chickens rescued from the poultry farm...

We were lucky to steal a road win :)

Thanks alot Ush. It means the world coming from you. You got a big stake in the success that KCY is having at the moment. You helped me out alot in getting up to speed with FOF8 (I had more or less only played FOF7). It - as you stated in your nice write up - was with that one solid trade signing at SS -Brewer - He was the foundation for a big part of the transition. Given Juan Gruenich more weapons is kinda obvius. Brewer wasn't.

Juan - now the leagues most carefull QB - played a good game. I was surprised you got to sack him so often.

Those big YAC plays you pulled of - I will have to go through the log to find some inspiration.

Good luck to you Ush. :smt006
