Hosting Durham and hoping to get a TD this week. They run a simple yet hard to defend O with most of their plays having a screen and a downfeld pass, if we had a second true boundary CB like previous seasons would be easy to trot out Press 2 but we will mostly be playing off man against those playcalls and hope we can tackle.

O picks up where it left off drawing a hold and sack to start things off and they hit the TE down teh seam for a huge gain and go up 7 quick. We did add mroe runs into 1st down this week and we pound it down the field but promptly throw a pick inside their 5. After a quick stop we get back to a pound and TE attack but cough up a fumble once in FG range.

Penalties derail DUR's next effort anbd then we exchange INTs but at leat we get a nice return on ou s so that is one way to move it downfield butt once more we can't convert a TD inside the 5 and come away with 3 points. Another quick stop for our D and we overcome a hold hitting new burner Donaldson on a corenr route for 30 on 3rd and very long but then get 3 straight drops.

I'm thinking it must be cohesion in the passing game as we jsut can't execute close to the endline and the drops are ridiculous. Will see if we can get oru act together in teh 2nd half and keep containing them downfield. Seems liek GIvens who got dinged up is missing quite a few snaps at Z but hey that's okay moving orward as we drafted his replacement even if th game is subbing random guys it seems.

Another time our D limits them to 1 moving of the chains and Sigrest breaks off a 50 yard YAC chunk and this time we convert in the RZ. DUR burns us on a reverse against an 8 man box and RB Ellingsen rips off 30 on a screen to set up apitch and catch to put them up 4. A penalty helps us convert once but we can't keep it going and teh Snake uses his wily way to convert a few tough 3rds but they settle for 3 after eating a sack.

We go 3andO ans receviing back Tibbs just isn't doing his job on 3rd downs at all this season and DUR starts movign it once more but they cough up and lose the fumble this time around. We dink our way to FG range and Sigrest beats the double to convert 3rd and 10 and we opt to go for it on 4th and goal from the 6 down 7 inside of 4 minutes but no dice. We get it back just outside of 2M and hit a couple intermediate throws to have us at their 19 with plenty of time left and on 4th and 1 burner Donaldson grabs a flat and beats the defense to the edge to tie it up.

The team strade 3andOs withs olid run D in OT and then neither can cross midfeld with DUR getting hurt by another holding call. With 81 seconds left we start at our 3 and this coudl be dangerous but we avoid the TO and come away with a TIE.

29 first downs but jsut 17 points for us ina game of missed opportunities with 5 RZ possessions.
Their secondary def outplayed us with 6 defensed and 2 INTs plus oru 5 drops really hampering our efforts int eh air whiel we mostly stopped their downfield stuff. 3rd downs and overall yardage average were pretty even for both teams.

Our low endurance committee approach to the roster is suffering after an OT game but hey the O waas working at least a little bit and if we coudl become jsut average in the RZ then we could maybe turn the corner.
