A number of key turning points helped edge the Boston Panthers over the defending champion Charleston Monitors in Week 6. Here are the highlights:

In the beginning of the 2nd Quarter, DT Hiatt blocked a pass at the Boston 8 on a 3rd-and-3, forcing Charleston to settle for a Field Goal:

3-03-NED08 (12:59) CHT 1 Gordon pass was blocked at the line, intended for 49
Donahue.
NED 92 Hiatt blocked the pass.

4-03-NED08 (12:54) CHT 8 Stephan attempted a 25 yard field goal and succeeded.

With time running out in the First Half, QB McMillan completed a 22 Yard sideline pass on 3rd-and-10 to WR Armitage to keep alive a drive that ended with a crucial Field Goal:

3-10-CHT42 (01:07) NED 15 McMillan pass completed to 81 Armitage for 22 yards
(OOB).
Tackled by CHT 23 Jones.

Early in the 4th Quarter, CB Nichols intercepted QB Gordon, deep in Charleston territory, returning the ball to the 5 Yard Line and setting up Boston's go-ahead TD:

2-05-CHT25 (08:16) CHT 1 Gordon pass was intercepted by NED 25 Nichols at the
CHT36.
The interception was returned 31 yards.
Tackled by CHT 49 Donahue.

With time running out in the 4th Quarter, P Schrimsher whacked the ball 57 Yards and the Special Teams Unit managed to down the ball very, very deep in Charleston's territory:

4-01-NED39 (02:10) NED 4 Schrimsher punted 57 yards from the NED39.
The ball was downed at the CHT04.

The final meaningful play of the game. Charleston's last gasp was a 4th-and-16 from their own 19 with 6 seconds to go. Boston didn't let them get the pass off, with DE Meyers and DT Hiatt combining to sack QB Gordon as the Boston Secondary provided good coverage:

4-16-CHT19 (00:06) CHT 1 Gordon sacked by NED 79 Meyers and NED 92 Hiatt for a
loss of 6 yards.
Sack allowed by CHT 77 Williams.
The ball goes over on downs.
