[quote45499b9="timmynausea"]Before this, we tried really hard to trade up for DE Irv Wilson. Congrats to Castlerock for getting what in many years would be a top 5 pick at #22.[/quote45499b9] I hope you are right. I needed a DE and since there were so many this year, there was one left to slip to me. I was eyeing Brandon Norton, too. Figured he would look better than he does right now. |

[quotec4200d0="Fonzie"]How could I pass on "Shirley?"[/quotec4200d0] He was one of the few I considered at 1.28. , but I already have Graziani so stayed away from an OLB. Methinks he should be very good. |

I think Nielsen will end up being among the best LBs in this class. I strongly considered taking him at 1.27, but OLB is just not a need for us. |

As I see the guys going I wonder how much I'm going to regret ignoring defense at the top of this class. |

My selection of CB [player]Brandon Norton[/player] was slightly influenced by your selection of WR [player]Raymond Lyon[/player]. Anything to shut down those Torpedes! |

I had Nielsen targeted at 2.04 but as the defenders started going I figured he wouldn't make it. He went further than I thought he would. |

I sure hope the optimists are right about Nielsen. It'd be nice to have a 1st round pick pan out. Also, a tip o' the hat to Taco for the inspired nickname! |

I think the undeveloped Corwin Ellard will have more to say about us this year than Lyon will, unfortunately. |

Except for one thing, having a nickname somehow kept him out the list generated by gstelmack's extractor and draft analyser. |

[quote6e37d7f="thater"]Man, it was a tough call on who to get at 2.1 FB isn't a need, don't know if it is a need for anybody, but lets just say he impressed me at the combine.[/quote6e37d7f] FB wasn't really a need of mine, but I did scout him- and after being scouted he looked REALLY good. If I would've had a 2nd round pick I would've picked him up as a future replacement for the soon to be retired, possibly hall of legends, George Welton. |

I just checked- and it does appear anyone can give a nickname to an undrafted guy. If doing this keeps them out of the extractor we might need to not let owners give these players nicknames until after the draft is over. |

Thoughts on my 1.31... LDE Chuck Barnham? I'm still in the I'm not sure who I need thing since my team was half-assed at best (nice LB crew) and I got to the Championship game. |

LG [player]Jake Schwartz[/player] may have fallen to 2.19, but I didn't want to risk it since he was the only player that I felt good about picking. Plus, I desperately need offensive line help so it was worth it to me to give up a 4th rounder to make sure I got him. Schwartz may need a couple of years to reach his potential, but I'm hoping he turns out to be a long term fixture at LG. Now if only I could find a RT and a C... |

Will have to rename your team in game from Dallas Dipshits to Texas Sundevils as you have earned it in my eyes. |

I liked Boones combine numbers but my scout had him listed as Very Overrated. I am almost glad he was off the board so I did not have to chose between him and Cushing. Cushing's combine numbers are also good and was listed as "As Scouted" by my scout. |

Sorry for the hold up. Wouldn't have mattered even if I had made a list, as everyone I was looking at is gone. Marcus Davis shouldn't end up being too bad, but I would have rather had Kelly Breien. Oh well. |

I had him pegged as a potential option in the 3rd or 4th. Nice pick but I think you could have waited. Then again we both liked Norton so who knows. |
