(+5/+2) 5.12 SS Dwight Rhett, 24/57. (-1/-7) 6.11 FB Les Honablue, 34/57. (+1/-5) 7.10 TE Al Vermeil, 28/55. (0/-6) Collier looks like a part-time starter, Gray would be a good backup and Breien/Gilson should be providing valuable depth. Honablue could be a marginal starter. Vermeil, Rhett and Johnston all could make the roster but probably will be out of the league in a couple of seasons. |

Schwartz has the potential to be very good in pass protection, but will never be a dominating run blocker. Doesn't really matter since we don't have a running game anyway. 1.11 RCB [player]Derek Meadows[/player] +4/-1 -->48/71 1.28 WR [player]Damon Bates[/player] +3/0 -->38/48 2.22 LB [player]Riddick Angelou[/player] +3/-6 --28/54 5.11 DT [player]Teddy Luckett[/player] +3/+1 -->26/37 5.22 TE [player]Darnell Mitchell[/player] +1/+1 -->26/47 Total +14/-5 We're pleased with how Meadows made the transition to CB. If he fills out his current potential of 71, we'd be happy. If he manages to creep past that at all, we'd be ecstatic. Bates is about what we expected - a perfect, long term #3 receiver for our O. If he creeps a little in a category or two, he could become even more valuable. Angelou's camp was a little disappointing, and he can't bulk up at all so we may have to slide him back to OLB. We think Luckett will creep up slightly. He'll never be a star, but we'd be very pleased if he could get up to the 45-50 range and provide solid depth. Mitchell could creep some, too, but will probably be a career number 2 at TE. All things considered we're very happy. Angelou was a minor set back, but Meadows is on the green page, and we think we got some long term guys out of this draft. |

I still like his bars, so he still may see the field some. Let's see how camp was to the rookies (ratings are post camp): [b98866fb]1.14 MLB Lee Cencerik [/b98866fb]37/72 (+3/-2) [b98866fb]2.13 WLB Sammie Hartsock [/b98866fb]42/59 (+3/-3) [b98866fb]3.12 RDT Sherman Negron [/b98866fb]29/57 (+2/-6) [b98866fb]4.11 SS Heath Pogue [/b98866fb]21/49 (-1/-6) [b98866fb]5.10 LT Mitch Simmons [/b98866fb]7/51 (0/-5) [b98866fb]6.14 FL Brady Poe [/b98866fb]11/40 (0/-6) [b98866fb]7.13 RG Johnny Graham [/b98866fb]24/38 (+2/-2) Cencerik and Harsock will be starting from day 1 and with Leone we'll have a great LB corps. Negron dropped a bit in potential, but he'll still see loads of action as he has some great potential. Pogue will round out the safties corps, and his 66/77 punt return ability is what he was drafted for, so his potential drop is acceptable. Simmons could see some action although he is a bit of a project. Poe and Graham are filling in roster spots. |
