The percentages are from the data mining, which Skydog has already linked to. There's a lot of useful info there if anyone hasn't checked it out.

Okay, I'll play the dumb brunette card. What's a WF Avg Point?

It's a win/fail system of measuring the success of a play, rather than looking purely at the yardage. Basically it's a way of taking down and distance into account. So if you complete a 10 yard pass on 3rd and 12, that's a failure, even though a 10 yard completion looks decent in the stats.

Here's the link to the full thread and discussion, which has a much better and more specific explanation of the WF aspect. The links in the first post are to data from an older patch, though. The newer data is further down.

[quote6e3fa94="Taco"]Great job by our punter [player]Scott Owens[/player], placing all 4 of his punts inside the 20, including 2 at the 1 yard line. This helped us win the field position battle and keep things close in the first half despite a missed extra point. Rookie RB [player]Daryl Abrams[/player] fumbled 3 times which is discouraging, and my best offensive lineman, LT [player]Kurt Warren[/player] strained his hamstring. But otherwise another quality performance on both offense and defense (holding [player]Charles Richmond[/player] to just 3 catches and 43 yards. Good game, FFF, you've got a nice core of young players there who are coming along well.[/quote6e3fa94]

Thanks for the kind words Taco, but your boys actually kicked our butts out there... :)

For us, it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

Great game for you, but don't get too confident as your last 3 games were played against second division teams, err, I mean Great Lakes team... ;)

[quotebbfc70f="JeeberD"]Ugh, that was VERY ugly. And apparently it was the AI that spanked me... :([/quotebbfc70f]

I played pretty conservative and let my prey fall into the trap. I gameplan for every game. You had an absolute great run game but didn't run very much. GG Jeeber

Or so we're told...

I didn't patch early enough once in FOF2004 that cost me free agents in the first few rounds...it mattered then.[/quote1a191bc]wow, just wow.[/quote1a191bc]

Come on wade, you remember one of the patches in FOF2004 where the amounts requested by the free agents were way different (to the lower side) for those who didn't patch versus those who did...

Don't make me actually go find the thread. It was one of the FOFC faithful that pointed out the issue. My dumb ass patched late after making "great" (from my perspective) offers that turned out to be ho-hum offers from the perspective of those who patched and missing out on the first several stages of free agency. I really wish I remember which patch it was but there weren't that many.

I'm just pointing out that owners not patching made a difference then and could make a difference now. It wasn't brought to my attention in FOF2004 until after the fact so maybe it won't be mentioned until after the fact now. It is a possibility...

The reason the FA thing was a problem si because it shows on the OWNER side what they are asking for. That's where the problem came in. If you offered exactly what other people offered, there wouldn't be a problem - but you didn't because it told you a different asking price.

Penalties happen on the COMMISH side when they run the sim, it has nothing to do with the OWNER.

Thanks for the clarification.

I think I will patch again though, as my players didn't seem to get the message. I will continue to patch until they do. 8)
