OK, we've got 1 hour to go before I'm offline for a good 18 hours or so. I don't want to hold people up, so who around here is trustworthy [i9d9b3f2]and[/i9d9b3f2] going to be up tonight who would post my draft pick for me (based on a contingency list)?

I'd be willing to do it. I stay up pretty late.

I have pm'ed my pick strategy for #17 overall to Fonzie & timmynausea. When Bug shows up, one of these guys can pick for me.

Thanks guys! :D

Thanks for helping me out guys! I got the guy I wanted, and don't have to take out MrBug for taking the guy I wanted. :)

Good value pick on Pressley at 17.

You're welcome.

And considering that MrBug's Honolulu squad regularly beats the crap out of my Toros, please feel free to continue with any "plans" that you made for him. :)

Agreed. And that he went at 17 makes me all the happier that I didn't stay put at 18. Had I not moved up for Holliday this was the player I would've targeted - and given where he went I likely would've been making plans to "take out" flere in the same fashion that he'd considered for MrBug. :)

Wow.. I loosly considered Pressley at 9.... VERY good value pick...

And I was eyeing the NT to fall a bit and trade up... there goes that idea!!

Phew. I didn't realize so many people would rate Pressley so highly. I thought people might be scared away by his volatility.

Anyway, I'm [ibe21049]so[/ibe21049] glad, because basically he & Rubenstein are a good complement with interlocking skills, so I'll have replaced Sheehan with two guys, one of whom could possibly form the core of my running team for the future.

Well, I'm happy with the Burks pick, will fill a void at DT, give us a chance to play 4-3 as well at 3-4. I gotta say I don't really the DE pick from Jeebs though. He wasn't even on my list of 14 I made when the draft was up to 10th spot... Care to explain what you see in the kid?

Well, I didn't need one of the multitudes of Tackles that are out there, don't need a young QB, don't need a WR that can't hang on to the ball, and could use a DE more than a DT.

Young looks to be good against the run, has good endurance, and has very good pass rush technique. He also has low volatility...

The only knocks against him that I see are his current development and his pass rush strength.

I think DY is gonna be a player...

okay. I only took a look at your two DEs and thought you were fairly all set at the position...

I really don't have any glaring holes right now (except at CB, and I wasn't going to reach for a mediocre one in the first round) so I was going for depth with the pick. :)

I'm wondering where the next batch of QBs will go...

Kassell- the best, and shortest QB left in the draft. Should be a solid QB if given time to develop.

Woodson- Another good, solid future QB pick. Won't be ready for 2 season but will be a solid QB in the CFL.

Stokes- His bars, and #s look very good, but with high volatility who is going to give him a shot?

Then there are a few more- these look like solid late first - mid 3rd round picks for teams looking to the future, especially those with aging QBs.

I don't know where they'll go either - but I'mpretty sure they won't end up in Tucson. We don't have another pick until 4.30. :(

I figured he would last longer and I could move up and get him in the second round.

Nice gamble.

So why did Vinny Sims slide so far?

I wasn't shocked by some of the other WR's going ahead of him but his only knock appears to be his low avoid drops numbers.

Anyone who passed on him care to share?

Anyone else who has comments on why he slid so far?

I hesitated a long deal between Sims and Burks, the DT I took. Came down to a question of needs. I felt like in the short term, the DT would serve my team better, while not really being a bad pick for the longer term either...
