Well we looked at our schedule and decided against playing QB Woodard banged up so hopefully the last time the Schnitzel suits up for us. MIA is another Z Y team with a young QB and solid OL I think if we can avoid more than one TO we have a chance but am def worried about their top run D and their deep CBs picking us off a few times. Would love to pick on those LBs in the air but our playbook doesn't have much like that.

A quick 3andO followed by a couple good gains for MIA had us down 7 quick. We get our feet under ourselves though to tie things up and after holding in the orange zone ride our run game and some short passes to a 7 point lead.

A couple punts with neither offense really getting downfield and then we pick 6 the rook to go up 14. MIA can't break a tackle but a 60 net yard punt pins us. A big run from Fulton and our 2nd TE adds 40 more to get us to FG range and Crabtree gets his 3rd TD to putbus up 21. Need there team can do much in the hurry up and we lose the aforementioned 2nd TE as well.

Obviously pleased but will be interesting to see if MIA can start breaking tackles in the 2nd half.

We lost power ur longtime FS Dubird early in this one and now SS/CB hybrid Foley bows out. I missed it but we may have recovered a fumble to leave MIA with no points however. MIA gets hot and storms to a TD with Bo Greene taking the snaps. Greene hits 3 intermediate passes on his next possession and Kemp on a 3rd downfield and they get their TD on 3rd and goal again to have the lead at 7 early in the 4th.

Fulton takes a rare pass 30 for us but Crabtree gets tackled short on 3rd and 3 so we settle for 3. Timmy the pick machine LB grabs another from Greene on our side of the field and with the clock inside of 8 minutes it's time to grind clock. Our secondary backs are having a huge day and as we reach 209 on the ground before kicking a FG from inside their 10 inside of 2 minutes, ballgame.

We even add 2 pick 6s just to rub it in the rivals face a bit.

Tackling, INTs, some nice running and a few big plays prolly the best game we have had all season.

Only one of the injuries is overly serious but at least on O we are now officially healthier than we have been since week 1 and sitting at 4-4...and what do you know division leader Denver up next.

A lot of high hopes and excitement at Kansas going in to game week 8. The GM even spend an hour at work calibrating the last few details in the gameplan.

Uploaded the stage file and waited patiently for the sim. Visited the CFL site a few times and BOOM!!! Stage-sim uploaded.

Poured myself a cup of coffee, opened FOF, downloaded stage-file, entered Solevision .... and .....

forgot that I had bye-week. :smt005

Tuscon accomplishes back-to-back wins, now sitting at 2-5. More importantly, young QB threw 3 TDs and no picks. Most importantly, DE Greg Dillon is 2nd in the league for sacks at 8.5.

Death Valley up next, with bobbleheads saying the spread is even up.

A trap game against intrastate rivals, New Orleans. I didn't fall for it, but apparently the rest of the team did. Three turnovers led to a big loss for the Pride this week when we could have capitalized on Militia loss. The bright side for us is that we put our your QB project into the game in the 3rd quarter and he almost succeeded in mounting a 22-point comeback taking it to OT. Couldn't sustain it and lost in OT. So we have two losses this year and both in OT.

GG, BGbob. You were able to get revenge for your opening day loss. Good luck the rest of the way.

Cleveland, OH --

Power comes back to Detroit as Rusty Von Wyss and Antonio Marsh finished off an otherwise uneventful trade deadline.

The El Paso Rockets sent the stellar wideout to the Detroit Vampires for a bevy of picks (1st, 4th, and 5th) all in 2058, looking to reload in 2059 after a dismal start to the season. The Baltimore Bombers sent their struggling running back to Detroit for a 2nd, 3rd, and RB Arbogast.

GM zenzog spoke briefly at a rare interview: "Coach Perkins and I saw some opportunities to bolster the offensive side of the ball here in Detroit. Ever since we traded Taylor Murray, we struggled on the ground. That is the identity of the team and we couldn't let that continue. We'd been looking at Antonio for some time and finally got a deal together and when El Paso was looking to sell on Von Wyss, we opened the coffers just a bit. What we've seen so far from these two guys is absolutely electric and the fans will see this week."

Every game is a must win in what has been a hotly contested division, but the atmosphere surrounding this one was especially palpable.

On the first drive of the game, Antonio capped off a 78 yard drive featuring a revitalized Detroit offense. From the first snap, Cleveland could be seen cheating their strong safety Stump closer to the line and Voinovich made them pay. After leading the Sentries to an upset over Detroit in week 1, QB Kaczor struggled at home throwing for 32 yards and three interceptions. Cleveland would replace him with backup QB Tevin Lemons in the second half, but his first snap was a sack fumble scoop and score for star DE Scott Gradkowski.

Detroit was in cruise control for the remainder of the game-- final score 37-21. The Sentries rained on the Vampires' parade in the week one opener and now the chickens have come home to roost.

Coach Perkins after the game: "The win felt really good, of course, but the best part about today was we stayed healthy. I'll have a talk to the boys about taking plays off, but I think they know we're in it for the long haul. When Cleveland took Tyrell out of the game and Scott rumbled into the end zone for his second TD of the season, we might have taken our foot off the gas."

Detroit goes into their bye week on a high note, meeting Baltimore in week 10.

FYI no self-respecting coon azz includes Shreveport in the great state of Louisiana but rather is part of Texarkana. See the CCR tune, Cotton Fields for supporting evidence.

Haven't seen you much on the forum but I just wanted to say your rush d is legittttt.

After making the trade with Detriot last week for QB Hitchcock, who we believe has a bright future in this league, it was time to throw him to the wolves. Basically because we had no other choice. He was significantly rusty obviously and we knew we had to lean on the run game, unfortunately we couldn't even fit a pancake between the tackles. We had to abandon the run early due to game script and lack of success, forcing Hitchcock to drop back 45 times. I thought the young qb played ok considering his time off and a new playbook. I was happy to see him execute the 4 minute offense very well. Leading the team down the field twice for points before half.

We may not meet the expectations we had set for this year but I want this team to focus on doing their job and not worrying about the score.

We are 3/4's of the way through the toughest part of our schedule, playing Fargo, Boise City, Denver and now Alaska is no easy feat. After 2 losses on the road I'm sure the guys are happy to return home for a divisional game.

I wish you zero luck in the next coming weeks Alaska ;)

Haha I hate when that happens, now you get to over think your game plan and make unnecessary changes!

Needed this game to keep my season chances alive. Finally getting a little offense going. Defense almost gave up another game. Second time this year giving up way to many points at the end of the game, Last time it cost me the win, this time I got lucky. That's 2 wins down 8 to go, I hope.

Oh dear God did I just trade away my Jimmy garoppolo...

Well couldn't justify paying the guy I guess

We kept bleeding the big play and then gave away 21 pts on pick 6s with 14 of those in the last 2 mins. Can't win like that. Apparently I haven't paid attention to the QB sub setting since last season. Didn't want Greene coming in that early.

I mean I wouldn't say that, I'm entirely being optimistic.

Good Game Mac, and thanks. After the two quick interceptions, I was worried there was trouble ahead, but Brandon found his stride to make up for it. I'm hoping the Run D keeps up because I've got a tough team in Fargo due next. Good luck the rest of the way.
