Most draft experts expected the Durham Bulldogs to select center Juan Makielski with the 28th selection in the 2006 CFL draft. Most draft experts are wrong. Instead, wide receiver Michael Browning was announced as the Bulldogs' 1st round selection of the 2006 CFL draft. Browning was one of the most intriguing prospects available this season. The 5'8" receiver was projected to be picked in the middle of the 2nd round, but the Durham Bulldogs couldn't wait that long to pick the player who impressed them the most at the CFL rookie combine. Ouch- Campbell is just getting hammered by the press this offseason  I was acctually thinking of trading up to the end of the first round to get him- he has all the #s to be a great WR. |

I'll agree with what everyone else has said here - he was definitely one of the "hidden gems" I had picked out in this draft. |

This draft has intrigued me with the 'reaching' for WRs... it seems that the first reach created a domino effect (including with my selection) of reaching for WRs... Is the WR depth in the league that bad? For me I think it is less of a problem of quality having been there in FA or via trade, but that established receivers just cost too much with the cap hell that I'm in.. I have a real hope that this guy can contribute as a #2 from the get-go... |

Then the run on them starts so they go a little quicker than maybe they should. Also- there is not much standing out in the draft, a few tackles but this league is very deep at that position. |

I think I could get someone in the 3rd as good as they guys I got in the 2nd last two years... Only problem is, i think WRs have a history of busting... ugh! |
