Another 2-1 week brings the running season tally to 4-2. Not too shabby... unfortunately really busy this weekend so no detailed writeups and only really putting in the predictions for the record.
El Paso at Alaska (+0) - ELP is running train on their opponents and I don't see ALA as having the talent to keep up. It might be close but the Rockets should win after 60 minutes: 36-27.
Boston (-1) at New Orleans - These two franchises are deeply intertwined as they often trade picks and players but success has eluded them thus far. This season may be different as QB Fryday takes the helm at New Orleans and RB Hancock puts in the work in Boston. I think at this point BOS has the edge, but the Voodoo have put up impressive numbers through two weeks. Give me the Blizzard: 28-24.
Atlanta at Fargo (-1) - The Sodbusters appear to be going through a Super Bowl Hangover and don't look anywhere near as potent as they did last season. RB Holzer hasn't been as effective on the ground and the Fargo pass rush really hasn't generated any pressure. They are certainly able to move the ball but they struggle when opponents have strong passing attacks. ATL is one of those teams; QB Clements is popping off with talented receivers like WRs Reis and Terry, I think we'll see Fargo playing catchup again this week. Give me the visiting Wolfpack: 35-27.
