WR Rusty Von Wyss - I didn't draft him but he was my first big trade from ELP (now PHI). At 6'3" and 205lb, Rusty was consistently one of the fastest and most athletic players in the CFL. An every-down deep threat despite the poor catch rate-- not entirely his fault!-- no game illustrated this more than http://thecfl.us/cfl/box2059082231.html where he manufactured 233 yards on just 5 catches against a 3-0 TEN team with prime S Barlow and CB Bethea that ended the season 11-4-1. The Vampires tried to get the ball in his hands but inept coaching and quarterbacking really squandered his prime years. Even after QB DiCosomo rose to stardom, teams were doing everything they could to contain The Baron. Through 8 seasons (4 playoff runs) with Detroit, he pulled in 443 catches (+43) for 6,579 yards (+451) and 30 TDs (+4).

The R.I.P. (Retired/Remembered Important Players/Post),

Justics Luckman: Brooklyn drafted him in the first round as a safety and moved him to corner. Spent his career in the Big Apple and so happy he retired a Brawler.

Javier McCarthy: Always compared this player with Luckman. He was another converted safety like Luckman that retired from Denver.

Jimmie Hett: First round pick from Brooklyn. He was a good hybrid C/G that had a good career and also retired from Denver.

Silas Wick: Happy you retired and are finally out of our Division. Great tight end!
