Tough match vs ATL in the snow! They beat us without Klingbiel earlier this season in a game where we doubled them in 1st downs but threw 6 picks and the weather may lead us to a similar low scoring game.

We did crank up our 1st down running a bit but not much else different on O, and on D we eschewed doubling Reiss a lot for dropping 8 with 2 high shells mostly. If they can break tackles and matriculate then it may get ugly as I think our O will be okay play to play but would gamble on at least 3 TOs from us.

We move the chains with ese to get across midfield before the vet WR Fence draws an OPI but we find Z man Givens downfield for a chunk to set us up at the ATL 20 but promptly go 3andO so settle for 3 points. ATL converts 3 consecutive 3rds with short pass catch and runs to get their own RZ possession and ballhawk press corner Ross steps in front of Reis for the pick at our 2 yard line. We dust and dink it off our goalline with RB Banks struggling in the snow but can't convert a 3rd and 4 so have to punt it away but they are offsides and we retain possession. We fail on a couple attempts to X Sigrest and they snuff out our 3rd down TE screen. Klingbiel finds WR Peterson on 3rd and medium to convert to close out the 1st quarter and we are dominating early downs but they are 4/4 on 3rd.

A holding call puts them in 3rd and very long and Reis drops it, we scrape one conversion out again but then can't do anything and they block our punt attempt and take over in FG range. WR Peterson hauls one in downfield over the doubleteam out of the 131 to set us another RZ possession and they get their first run over 3 yards I think to set uthem up at our 3 but Klingbiel tweaks his leg (staying in for now) before finding paydirt to TE Tenney. We try 4 downfield throws in a row and complete one but throw a pick on teh last one and ATL takes over with a short field once more. Our D holds and they opt to go for it facing a 4th and 4 at our 32 and it's a screeen that barely gets past the chains. Stud DE Stai busts through the line and takes down Klingbiel and also comes away with the ball to keep it a 4 point game. We thankfully get back to the ground and then hit Fence in stride for a ncie chunk to get to FG range but promptly go pass happy once mroe and 3andO so settle for a FG and 1 poitn deficit at the 2M mark. We were worried aobu the hurry up and with godo rason as they rip off a 20 yard run and then hit Reiss to quickly get to oru 40 and they hit a 51 yard FG in the snow to essentialyl end the half.

We need some juice on O and can't afford to give away any more short fields on TOs. 4 point advantage is pretty emaningful in this one.

Wr Peterson grabs a short pass for a YAC chunk but we hold them in the orange zone as they try some downfield throws. Ellusive back Ford rips off 33 off the right side to get us across midfield but we promptly take a sack and need our own short catch adn run on 3rd and long to convert. TE Moffitt gets another nice YAC chunk on 3rd and short to set up 1st and goal but once more we are shutdown in the RZ so remain down a point after the FG. ATL gets nice field position and with jsut one REis catch adn run on another short pass they are near FG range, Reis grabs another conversion but they miss on 2 tries to TE Tenney in teh RZ and settle for 3 poitns and a 4 poitn lead. We take the kick out form 9 yards deep and draw a holding call so start at our 1 yard line and are luck yto recover a fumble as we pound it off our endline. But hten go 3andO as we are an abysmal 13/30 in the air. ALt take sover near mdifield and Peterson beats the double on a screen facing a 3rd and short for 31 yards to have them in oru RZ once more.

Peterson beats 2 mroe doubles in teh RZ to put ATL up 11. A coupel grabs by TE MOffitt get us near midfield and the vet Fence grabs 35 more on a short one. We promptly take a sack adn fumble (recovering once more) but then throw a pick that is run back 86 yards for a TD and likely sealing the game. We move it a abit in teh hurry up but run out of steam and that's pretty much ballgame despite 7 minutes being left.

GG FlexD, the better team won. We just couldn't get completions and you weren't dominated in the run game. A better RZ perofrmance may have helped us keep pace for sure. And maybe shoulda tried ot play more single high but your high low passing concepts and Klingbiels ability to mitigate pressure had me doubtful of that tactic.

Sorry to ding you up a bit and glad you will get a shot at a ring after a ncie run of seasons you've had here, bring one hoem for the Conference.
