After a disappointing 2006 campaign, the Memphis Express have decided to go in a different direction. The franchise is expected not to renew the contracts of several free agents this season. The Express went 3-13 in a season that was ravished by injuries on both sides of the ball.

Perhaps the biggest question mark surrounding the Express is who the starting quarterback will be next season. Josh Urrutia, a four year starter, has not been resigned. It is unclear whether Express management is targeting to bring him back.
