In a scheduled press release the day after the 2007 CFL Draft, General Manager TurfToe announced Fan Day 2007.
While some lamented on the political implications of the Rounders bringing tourists in during the slow season, many of the Rounders faithful celebrated the opportunity to get up close and personal with there favorite players.
The 2006 Defensive Rookie of the Year, Mario Ah Yat, affectionately referred to as the Samoan Tsunami, was showcased as the centerpiece of the newest fan fad, the Pink People Eaters.

This is just another iconic product of the Rounders marketing department. Last year's hot product was Grider's Gunmen, who's limited print poster was a huge hit on Poster Giveaway Day. Rumor has it that the printers are working overtime to meet the surging demand for the upcoming season.
Turftoe said, "I challenged the guys this year to put more people in the stands. I will begin handing out fines if the marketing department generates more revenue than ticket sales."
The front office has also delayed its response regarding a meeting with an NFL sister team in a shortened exhibition game during Fan Day 2007. TurfToe stated that he could neither confirm nor deny that possibility.
Stay tuned, as there is surely more to follow...
