Toothpick has started 34 games as a Flat, and has racked up one (1) 100 yard game. Jerry Ackerman, in his first starting gig with the Flats, puts up 106 yards. Is Toothpick a bust? |

Hey, Ackerman's still around! I remember drafting that guy...he looked good as a rookie but struggled in his 2nd year. It's good to see that he might have a future in this league! As for Toothpick, I don't think he'll ever live up to his #3 overall expectations, but I don't think he's a complete bust either. |

I wouldn't really call him a bust- he just hasn't gotten the carries to really get his 100 yard games. Normally a RB needs 20 carries to get 100 yards, and in his rookie season he only got that once. His 2nd season Cleveland was just a pretty bad team all around, so you cant expect him to do that great....And so far this year he just has not played very well. I would continue to give him the ball as much as possible and he will get some yards. Him and Butch Fulton are very similar backs- and Butch has 1044 carries in 46 starts. |
