Congrats to Chicago. Arthur Brady was the game MVP even though he got hurt toward the middle of the second quarter and didn't return. He already had 13 touches for 136 yards, though. It probably wouldn't have been as close without his injury.

So what exactly is the tiebreaker order for the Wildcard teams in FOF? I have a feeling I'm going to have to back my way in.... if I get in at all.

Douglas Hartman avoided another round of dick-kicking by keeping his performance interception free. Let's see if he can make it through next week with his boys intact.

So my defense has finally started coming to play, but it's [i61a04ca]way[/i61a04ca] too late for that. At this point I would probably be better off losing, but what can you do...

Phew, escaped a last-minute comeback attempt from Sacramento.

4. Strength of schedule.
5. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.

Phew, Grid really made me sweat to win this one! The Ice defense was in Mathias's face all day long, with 11 hurries and 3 blocked passes! My defense wasn't too bad either though, and came thru with a big interception and sacks at key times.

But Manos was once again the Man. After a couple of quiet weeks, he came up with a huge game, 11 catches for 131 yds, one of them a 21yd pass reception for a TD.

Thanks to the rest of the Ring of Ice division who beat both Albany and Cleveland, I also now control my destiny. The division 's mine if I beat Cleveland... (I don't even want to think about a wild card, what with all the 9-6 teams in the Eastern Conf!!!)

Kudos to Denver, and especially former Bomber Roosevelt Ezell, who was in our backfield all day (1 sack, 3 blocked passes, 1 hurry).

another frustrating game. I can't believe I've gone from 8-1 to 8-7. Oh well, maybe if Rounds rushes for 63 yards and breaks the record next week I won't be quite as pissed. Ok, yeah I will.

Oh baby!

We got a nice 20-0 win over Memphis, and kept Urrutia off balance all day with 3 sacks and 10 hurries. He was also kind enough to give us two interceptions. Very thoughtful lad, that Urrutia.

Despite this dominant performance, in which we outgained Memphis 371-184 and held the ball for 39:14, I'm a bit miffed at my offense. The 20-0 margin of victory should've been at least 30-0. Drew Holliday fumbled away the ball at the Memphis 1 (but at least he's cut down on his fumbling this year), and we had other red-zone opportunities that netted field goals when we should've scored touchdowns. It seems like no matter what I try I can't get our red zone offense to operate smoothly. And we need to turn that around because...

We play Honolulu next week for the division championship! Thanks to a Blue Wave loss to Shreveport (congrats Shreveport!), only one game separates us. A win by Tucson would give us our first division crown via a tiebreaker - while a loss will get us yet another wild card spot. We're a bit dinged up heading into this match (while Honolulu remains, yet again, conspicuously free of serious injuries!), but I'm hopeful that we can pull out one more big game.

Of course, I don't believe we've ever won in Honolulu...

So true. A few weeks ago I was looking at a top 5 pick, maybe. Then my team has to start winning games and I'm probably looking at 10th overall or worse.

Nice win for the Wolfpack. I can't believe we're up to #2 in the power ratings on the cover page.

I'd like to win HFA throughout the conference but I'll probably rest my starters this week.

That was some game!

Now, if I can get Jackpot to stop throwing picks (i.e at NOS' 5, 10, and 13 yard line) I might actually avoid the dramatic finishes...there's always next year.

Bring on the mediocre draft position.
