I did a breakdown of the current state of teams' finances after the first round of late free agency:

finances.htm

At least four teams are in deep trouble, and will need cuts to field a team of 53 players. I've calculated the minimum required cost with $240K for a rookie FA as the base.

Even when it's a result of free agents not wanting to sign with El Paso? :D

Though James Cooper said hi. He appreciated you offering more money, but just thought he'd be happier in Fargo.

El Paso or Fargo....I hope that's a choice I never have to make.

I agree why would anybody in their right mind want to play in either of those two towns?

Fargo bashing is becoming pretty cliche nowadays around here and FOFC. I was born and raised there. Spent around 20 years there and will be moving back there in August. There isn't another place I would have rather grown up.

I couldn't give a flying fuck about what any of you or The Afoci think of the place, especially since most of you have never even been there.

Aye, don't take things so seriously. It's my duty as a Minnesotan to make comments like that about Fargo.

Is that why nearly everyone I offered under markey value came to Hawaii? Not to mention the higher price of living here? I basically got everyone to play for a minimum.

Sorry I went totally apeshit there. It's just that I'm damn proud of where I came from (and had a pretty shitty day yesterday).

The Afoci would have to admit that it's atleast a couple of notches more entertaining than Hawley, MN. ;)

where exactly is Hawley? I've lived in Saint Paul for the past 17 years and have no idea where that is :D

On a side note- looks like theres a good number of midwesterners around here, good to see

Hawley lies between Fargo and Detroit Lakes on Highway 10. Hopefully you know where DL is? :)
