fuuuuuuck! Seymour Barre is out for 6 weeks, and Alexis Rounds got shut the fuck down. So my backup QB comes in and goes 0-7. Shit shit shit.

We held Toothpick to 2.9 ypa and got the win over Boston. These injuries are getting ridiculous, though. I feel like a real coach: we won the game, but I'm still mostly pissed about injuries, penalties and missed field goals.

Woot! I'll always take a win over a team that made it to the CFL Bowl last year!

Ugh...

My defense was very strong throughout the game, but my offense could just not do anything.. hurts to lose with 24 seconds left...

GG Rounders...

We turned the ball over early and deep in our own territory (twice). We fell behind before we knew what happened. Congrats Albany.

Another close one but Hurst came thru again in crunch time.. 34-31.. Wow, WR Beech played injured and tore my secondary up with 6 catches for 129yds... Great Game MrBug...

Shreveport gave me a run for my money, just like I knew they would. The offense clicked pretty good again except for another 3 fumbles (all of which we recovered). The defense is starting to get healthy now, with Quinn Elway and Tracy Hall due back for the game against Huntington Beach. Nice to be 2-0 but would be better to be 3-0!

Another solid performance from Garibaldi. John Lubin's 2 fumbles are a worry though as he rarely puts the ball on the ground

Damn, Santa Cruz has a pretty impressive team!

I feel lucky to escape with a win, the Privateers clearly dominated the game but wasted too many opportunities...special teams probably made the difference: a blocked punt returned to the 1yd line for me, a couple missed FG for him, and that was the ball game!

Don't forget Bidwell's performance...if he keeps this pace up he could have one hell of a season for a TE.

Harry A. converted a bunch of [b882beeb]big[/b882beeb] 4th down situations, which was really impressive. I have a feeling that if I let him throw just a tad more in this game, it might have been closer.

Talking about injuries, though, my list continues to grow as well. :(

Thanks 3ric. I have to admit that I was surprised to win that one - you've got a great squad. I thought Barbieri would have a field day with half of our starting secondary out with injuries. Methinks we got lucky.

And not that we need any further evidence of the fucked-uppedness of FOF2K4's "Game MVP" selection logic, but here are the two main candidates from Tucson:

QB Milan Hogan: 23/33, 194 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT, 2 carries for -3 yards
RB Drew Holliday: 18-127-2, including a 72 yarder to start the scoring.

Anyone care to guess which of these players got the MVP? ;)

If that isn't asking for a long-term, career-threatening injury, I don't know what is.

I though I had a comeback going in the 3rd, but the defense was solid in a shot field. Nice job this week by Denver.

He did convert that 4th and 30 which was impressive, but it was too little too late by then. It could've gone either way for a while, though. I thought we were going to blow it after we missed the two kicks and should've been up 16-0, but then you guys missed the kick that would've tied it at 10, and we finally put the game away.

I don't know what's up with Branden Lin being tied for the league lead in rushing touchdowns either.
