wOOt!!!

I'm not sure how we pulled it off, but I'll take a win over our rival anyday. I'll feel better heading into the offseason, if we can win the final two games.

I do appreciate the help there partner, but could I persuade your players to take an early offseason right before week 17's game, that would be awesome. Where is TurfToe when you need him to blackmail players and coaching staff, as well as bribe them.

Things are getting interesting in the San Andreas. We defeated Long Beach today, tying them at 7-7 overall, 3-2 in the division, and 5-6 in the conference. Looks like we are trailing in common games though.

Boise hangs on for win number 12, avenging an earlier loss to Ring of Ice rival Oregon, 24-20. It was our 4th straight game with over 400 yards of offense.

Aside from that it was a pretty interesting week: Tucson destroys Honolulu to take the lead in the Ring of Fire. Atlantic City completes their surprising sweep of Hartford. Sacramento beats Long Beach to complicate things in the San Andreas. Cleveland upsets Detroit and puts their playoff hopes in jeopardy. Shreveport and Huntington Beach are knocked out of playoff contention. It was a big week.

A close game against divison rival Santa Cruz and a tough loss which knocks us out of the playoff hunt.

Not a good day on the injury front either as we lost QB Clarence Lincoln for 4 weeks with a separated shoulder (among others).

An infuriating stretch in the second quarter...
[code1d7029c]4-05-SCU48 (03:37) SCU 6 Daly punted 41 yards from the SCU48.
Penalty: HBE - Offsides.
[/code1d7029c]
Which gives them a first down. 3 plays later we have them in 4th and 15.
[code1d7029c]
4-15-SCU48 (02:28) SCU 6 Daly punted 52 yards from the SCU48. Touchback.
Penalty: HBE - Roughing the Kicker.
[/code1d7029c]
Another damn first down. :x They went on to score a TD.

It's amazing how bad Hayes is looking without Sonkin to throw the ball to... :(

Wow.

We've got our first-ever sweep of Honolulu, and it came in convincing fashion: a 38-6 lambasting in Tucson. Hogan was spectacular in his return from injury, going 20/25 for 225 yards and 4 TDs (with no INTs), completing 3 of those TDs to TE Torres (who had zero coming into this week). The defense did a great job containing Tu, holding him to 15/36 for 232 yards and 1 INT. The Toros also got a hand from Honolulu's head coach, who made a curious decision:

[code5ffb5db]4-02-HON37 (01:36) HON 16 Tu pass fell incomplete, intended for 82 Pritchett.
TUC 75 Grier hurried the quarterback into a bad throw.
The ball goes over on downs.

Possession to Tucson.[/code5ffb5db]

Odd indeed. And what do you think happened after that?

[code5ffb5db]1-10-HON37 (01:30) TUC 22 Bradley ran around the left tackle for 5 yards.
Tackled by HON 97 Claridge, assisted by HON 22 George.
Key block delivered by TUC 26 Jeffries.
Penalty: HON - Unsportsmanlike Conduct.
--
1-10-HON17 (01:20) Penalty: TUC - Delay of Game.

1-15-HON22 (01:20) TUC 4 Hogan pass fell incomplete, intended for 42 Holliday.
HON 75 Tanner hurried the quarterback into a bad throw.
Penalty: HON - Defensive Holding.
--
1-10-HON17 (01:14) TUC 4 Hogan pass completed to 81 Markey for 17 yards and a touchdown!
Extra point by TUC 13 Castorena was good.

Score: Tucson 28, Honolulu 6.[/code5ffb5db]

It was all downhill from there. Hats of to you Bug. Tu battled his ass off out there, but just didn't have it today.

Pfft. Highlight of the day: kicking a FG to avoid a shutout. Bleh.

Thank God this miserable season is almost over.

Can't wait for the draft! :)

F*ck!

Another frustating loss...we almost pulled a miracle win but then Cleveland pulls a miracle of its own...

My once dominating defense has been porous the last few weeks... I just can't figure out what is going wrong

Stick a fork in us. We're done!

Good luck Memphis and New Orleans. I thought I might be able to run the table and take the division at 9-7, but obviously Meathole had other plans.

I'm fairly certain we have won the Cavalry division. We need one more win to secure a first round bye but need a Boise slip up to get homefield advantage throughout the play-offs. Will be tough as we have a repeat of CFL Bowl V against New Orleans next week then finish against an exceding-expectations El Paso team. Will be hoping to avoid Tulsa in the play-offs as they are playing some great football at the right time of the season. They remind me a little of Denver last year!

I do not care if it was ugly but we won. My three rules for winning applied.

1) Avoid costly turnovers
2) Establish the running game
3) The D will take care of the rest.

Now we have to beat Fargo. Denever will beat New Orleans. In Week 17, we have a winnable game at home. If we beat Fargo, I am confident of the division title.

I never would have dreamed my team would be in the hunt this late in the season.

Now, now, doing something nice for someone else just in hopes of getting a reward is not nice at all. Bad FFF, bad.
