Boise clinches the #1 seed with a 23-16 win over Hartford. It was a close game that basically hinged on Edgar Raymond's 71 yard interception return for a td. The best part? No injuries. C.J. Washington went over 1000 yards rushing for the season in the game. He hasn't been spectacular, but 1000 is pretty good for a rookie. Huge week around the league with upsets and the playoff picture getting clearer. I can't wait for the playoffs. |

damn... our game with Albany won't mean much. I can't believe FFF won't make the playoffs with his roster. Congrats to Albany on their first Great Lakes title. |

Well what do you know, we managed to win another game. We'll finish at least at .500 despite being what TLK said was going to be one of the worst CFL teams in recent history... |

We clinched, sweet... Hey Durham, get ready to play my backups in this weeks game because my team is injuried... |

*sigh* Well, we had three defensive starters go down for the season, and one possibly for his career, today. Along with them went the game and, most likely, our postseason hopes. By far the worst injury was to promising young DE Lance Crane - he tore his ACL and is out for 63 weeks. He was blossoming nicely this season, with 7 sacks and 27 hurries. He's probably not coming back, and if he does he almost certainly will be a benchwarmer. In the meantime he'll get to eat up some cap space. Hooray. Along with him went starting DT Ken Neubauer, who was putting together a second straight good season for us with 47 tackles, 5 sacks, 4 block passes and 13 hurries. He was a big part of our run defense, and now he'll spend the next 2+ months in the trainer's room. CB Jeremy "Pussy" Rosenberry had missed the entire season with a high ankle sprain, but was finally cleared by the trainers to play (probable). He lasted four snaps before he reinjured his ankle. Nice job. In addition to these lousy injuries we treated our fans to some extraordinarily poor play - we failed to punch it in from the 1 on three straight plays after a great punt block, we missed a 41 yard FG (what is wrong with Casotrena?), and [i99bb7c9]five[/i99bb7c9] False Start penalties (at home!) which gave Durham an average of just 3.7 yards to go on 3rd down, allowing them to convert 11/16 of those. Pathetic. Especially sad is that I thought we did a decent job of containing Kimber (19/31, 285 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT) and won the turnover battle 3-0. We just couldn't put this one away and Durham never gave up. Hats off to you, Taco. |

Can't believe the Great Lakes Division went 0 for 4 this week. Umm, I am kinda hoping Detroit beats Chicago since I own their pick and with the loss it should be the first overall. That means I gotta win against the Flats. This is all I could ask for going into the season though, in Week 17, win and your in. I just hope to make the most of this chance. |

With a win here I am 10-5, does this mean Tulsa clinched a playoff spot??? |

I've clinched a wild card spot, so it's time to rest my starters and hope they come back strong for the playoffs. |

Holliday ran all over us, but somehow we stayed alive and came back despite careless Kimber's 2 interceptions. Good luck next week! |

It's worth mentioning that RB Elias Alvey of the Fargo Boxcars has tied the single season record for rushing touchdowns with 17. This week he rushed for 3 TDs. This was the 4th time in the past 6 weeks that he has 3 rushing TD!! He has 14 rushing TDs in the past 6 games!! |

I can't believe we lost that game! Two easy FGs missed, an int returned 84 yds for a TD by Long Beach and an OT loss... Damn, this season has really been a waste... I really think the loss of our head coach in the offseason started this whole mess... |

Yes, a Las Vegas win would help my strength of victory, and an Anchorage loss would hurt Long Beach, so both please. |

[quote4fe7eaa="Joe"]Yes, a Las Vegas win would help my strength of victory, and an Anchorage loss would hurt Long Beach, so both please.[/quote4fe7eaa] I'll do what I can. Unfortunately, my starting RB and FB are on the shelf. We'll just have to see what last year's first rounder Jennings can do against Tucson's 2nd string D-Line. In return for my victory, I would ask that both Anchorage and Sacramento lose for me. (Along with whatever alignment of planets and sacrificing of virgins is required for me to make the playoffs.) |
