I hate this game

LT Chad Oroumieh, 2nd overall pick in the draft, is out for 50 weeks with an ACL injury.

Long Beach got two players released for the second straight week, but I'm starting to think that it's to get under the limit of 60 players in pre-season. If you do an export with 62 men on the roster, that's what happens. As of now, the Calibri has exactly 60 signed.

Hmmmmm, although one of those two players released by Long Beach was their 3rd round draft pick - a QB with the highest potential for any QB on the team. And Long Beach has 3 undrafted rookie QBs still on the roster that were not released!

I have a feeling that daedalus isn't going to be too happy about that...

Heh. For a change, I'm actually not a grumpy bastard this time . . . about THAT. It was done more as an experiment than anything else. By the way, I did have 60 at last export. However, 2 of my FA bids in THAT export came through so the game cut 2 of my players. This time, I cut 2 before hand to bring my team down to 58 at export. The 2 free agents the AI cut were signed back (that's how good they are . . . nobody else wanted them) to bring the roster up to 60 and I guess the AI was satisfied enough to have made no more move.

I AM still pissed about the fact that my lineup was changed again, though. The team is now racking up more injuries, thankfully mostly niggling ones. Also, I'm not able to test out young players that I need to so I can make the cut come regular season.

I love the communication in this league. Sound convincing?

Don't ask me to do an infomercial.

We sim ever Sunday and Wednesday.

Daed, I have no clue why it would have done that. Did you reset the depth charts?

My depth chart settings were off to, but I always have my scouts adjust those, so that might have been why

Could you answer the question I asked earlier as to whether you received an export from me for the previous sim?

I know that, I was just saying that having the other one a day late confused me and I completely missed the deadline for the next export...my bad.

I think it always changes your depth chart if you sign any FAs. That's why GE sometimes runs an extra export for those teams that need to sign a FA before the next game.

GE, I have a suggestion. Can we have a fixed schedule for the extra export, and have the sticky thread updated at the top?

Something like this:

Sunday - sim game
Tuesday - FA sim
Wednesday - sim game
Friday - FA sim

Sounds like a good idea. I think other leagues have adopted this as a workaround too...

That's got to be it - if you have 46 active players going in the export and sign an FA then the AI has to make sure the depth chart is legal. I wish it just made the new signee inactive - but with the option to release a player on the condition of signing an FA, the AI can't be sure the team would have 46 active players then.
