Well, good luck with whoever you pick then.

Was hoping to see a few more picks before I head to work so I could adjust mine, but no biggy.

alright, I went with LT Phillip Terry. Was seriously considering DT Doug Shields, and would have taken him if not for (1) Volatility of 96 and (2) Punishing Hitter rating of 5/41.

Terry is more of a safe pick and will replace David To, who is in his 16th season and won't be re-signed. I consider myself lucky to have gotten the 2 extra seasons out of him. Terry already has a run block rating of 63/98 which is important for my team, and his weak spot is in blocking strength at 41/77. And I have mentors at both DT and OT, so it didn't really matter there. I initially tried to trade up to 1.2 to take Cooley, but that didn't work out.

[quotedfa0ee0="Shooter"]The pick has been made in the utility. It was a tough decision with some of those receivers out there, but we needed to solidify the interior D-Line and Toby O'Donnell was just the guy to do that![/quotedfa0ee0]

What? Are you afraid of all the Mack Trucks that I'm putting up on my line?

:D

How do you know what his initial rating is? You won't find that out until you get him on your roster.

I think you are confusing his potential range (right end of the green bar) that the blue area indicates on the draft preview with what his green/red bar might look like when he's on your team. Terry will have a future potential of 63 to 98 meaning that is where his green bar will end. More than likely, the dude will be close to maxed (red is full with no green) since he is a lottery pick but those numbers don't mean he's a 63 of 98. Hopefully for you he is a 98/98 in run blocking when you finally get a close look at him but could have a potential of only 63.

Likewise, his 41/77 blocking strength means he could have a scouted potential of anywhere between 41 and 77. He could end up with a 77 blocking strength and a run blocking of 63. His forecasted weakness could be stronger than his forecasted strength.

FOF extractor + 3ric's draft macro give a good estimate. I think you might be right though, all I have is the draft sheet I made last night and can't compare it to the bars. Either way its a solid pick.

Absolutely it was a good pick.

I just wanted to clarify what the 63-98 means on the extractor output and didn't want you set on him having a poor blocking strength. He may actually have a 77 blocking strength which is better than most. Potentially, it could be better than his run blocking even.

I agree. He's easily one of the best players in the draft, so I'm surprised he fell so far.

I know I would have had a hard time turning him away if he made it to 1.11 despite the fact that I'm chock full of stud safeties already...

There may be a delay for 1.12.

I'm looking over a couple of trade possibilities.

No, I'm concerned with the age of my DT and lack of talent. Now you have to contend with one hell of a left side D-Line!

I didn't get any offers I liked so I took Coleman.

I love his combine scores so I'm hoping he booms a little.

Coleman's a good pick. He should do well for you.

I will be out of town until Monday night. I'm stocking my utility and RavenHawk has power of attorney of the Rounders.

If we get past my next pick and the utility is empty he will make my pick for me.

Does anyone know how to get the word 'sucker' removed from a forehead...

If your first pick is 2.2, you'll be back in time to make it yourself. Relax. We might get to 2.2 by Wednesday.
