Today the Durham Bulldogs announced that popular QB Pitbull Pitts will be replaced for the remainder of the season by rookie QB Kenneth Lester (no relation to everyone's favorite FOF name, Moe Lester). Age appeared to finally catch up with Pitbull this season. The 37 year old only threw 5 TD passes (compared to 28 last season) and his rating fell from 80.0 to 62.3. Meanwhile, Lester (a 3rd round draft pick out of Southern Methodist) has steadily improved this season and has outplayed Pitbull when he has gotten into the huddle. He has 3 TDs and 3 INTs in 82 pass attempts with a rating of 69.5. These numbers aren't amazing but they do give the Bulldogs hope for the future. |
