To be added to the League Rules Section: G. Free Agency Any free agent asking for 3 or more years MUST be offered a contract for at least 3 years for the duration of the first (pre-draft) 12 stage free agency period. In the second (post-draft) free agency period, any contract may be offered. Any GM violating this rule will have the player immediately cut (thus penalizing with bonus payment) and will also lose a draft pick at the Commissioner's discretion. |

i would assume this is effective next offseason and not this one...just thought it a good idea to have that clarified now. dont know that it makes much difference considering the players out there but you never know. |

This won't be effective until next offseason. I don't think it's fair to change the rules in the middle of free agency. As has been mentioned, it probably wouldn't change anything right now anyway. |

I don't like this rule, I feel it removes too much flexibity. |

So just to clarify... my contract to [player]Marcos Garcia[/player] would have been fine under this rule? |

[quote95e2211="TLK"]So just to clarify... my contract to [player]Marcos Garcia[/player] would have been fine under this rule?[/quote95e2211] Yes. He was asking for a 2 year deal, so the rule wouldn't apply to him. |

22 votes, so 10 owners did not vote yet. Try to get those votes in so we can either pass it- or work on something else. |

Do we actually know who voted? Couldn't anyone who was registered have voted? |

[quote62e3f6f="TLK"]Do we actually know who voted? Couldn't anyone who was registered have voted?[/quote62e3f6f] that is a good question- i don't know if it is something Taco can check in the administrative panel. |

Of course, as TLK has pointed out, we don't know for certain that all of the votes are legit. |

[quoteef616f2="TLK"]Do we actually know who voted? Couldn't anyone who was registered have voted?[/quoteef616f2] Yes, this is why I take PM votes for the Hall of Legends . . . Hint. Hint. Get your votes in. |

A separate "polls" forum available only to current owners would ensure the necessary exclusivity. (pause for effect) Effing elitists! |

This is completed and should be available to all owners. It is listed on the Forum Index under League Business. If anyone does not see the "Owners Lounge", let me know. |

Hey, that's a good idea! Since I don't like this rule, I'm gonna log in as different people and stuff the ballot. Now, why didn't I think of that before? |

Ok, so it looks like 19-5 might be the final total. Does this go into effect now? |
