Yeah, I was worried about Cassidy. Looks as though he will bust out, but we won't give up hope just yet. Benjamin Reed was a 6th rounder, and still has some decent potential. No booms again in Shreveport. The rest of our draft class looks decent, though. |

Ouch, some fairly major hits across the board for us, including aging (and formerly holding out) WR [player]Tom Sonkin[/player]. Sure makes me glad that I didn't give in to his insane contract demand. On the rookie front, nothing special going on... DE Edwin Osborne 0/0 K Lincoln Gillespie +9/0 SS Kent Bryden 0/0 DT DJ Hansen 0/0 SS Levon Phenix 0/0 FB Dana Crayton 0/0 QB Ralph Campbell 0/-1 CB Moe Roberts 0/0 CB Bryce Kelley +1/-3 I guess I should be excited about all those 0/0's...usually I have negative numbers all over the place after camp. |

The Rounders netted -9/-110 on the entire roster of 69. Both pluses and minuses will be cut soon so those numbers might not mean much. The draftee changes were posted in the draft results thread but here are some changes with the vets: Our C, Tony Baker took the biggest hit going -10/-10. We've been waiting for Tony to start showing his age but that's why we've been carrying 3 centers for a couple of years now. His replacement, Sganga, went +6/+5 and is now at a 61 potential. Our transition is going well at Center. Some other old guys that were expected to take hits are below: [b69108f8]Terry Grayvil[/b69108f8] LCB -4 -4 (Josh Jammer was drafted to replace him but may be moved to SS) [b69108f8]Lenny Olsen[/b69108f8] QB -5 -5 (Roderick Palmer went +6/+6 to lead the team in improvement and is now 69/75 according to my QB=VG scout) [b69108f8]Isaac Rodgers[/b69108f8] RDE -5 -5 (DE addressed in the draft bt he will probably still be our sack leader) [b69108f8]Norman Bunker[/b69108f8] FS -5 -5 [b69108f8]Chris Wisdom[/b69108f8] FB -6 -6 (getting older but still playing well) [b69108f8]Buster Hall[/b69108f8] RDE -6 -6 (decided to end his holdout) [b69108f8]Tony Straight[/b69108f8] QB -7 -7 [b69108f8]Herbert Buzzell[/b69108f8] TE -7 -7 (will now probably be cut unfortunately) |

Thanks for the great news on Moe Bond! I picked him up on a fluke last year hoping he would be a serviceable backup, but now he's making a legit push as a starter. I have some seriously good depth at DT and likely will need to put some players on the block. |

Well, with the big bust of RB Blushman after this year's training camp, the move down to draft RB Heupel looks to be a damn fine move. . . didn't anticipate the bust of Blushman, but pretty happy that the rookie will step in! Looking over the roster, we actually are starting to look like a team that can compete this year. We're still a season or two away from challenging, but the Tigers are shaping up nicely. . . |

He showed up to training camp out of shape and drunk most of the time.. Casey Cha and him just fucked around and didn't get any work done in the off season.. |

Rookies updated in the post draft thread. A pretty good camp overall for them, with an overall +15/+5. The rest of the team, however, did not fare so well and is really showing its age. Most of my star players, all at least 10 year vets, took huge hits, [player]Michael Thibeault[/player] -12 [player]Scott Flowers[/player] -11 [player]Chris Carleton[/player] -12, [player]Larry Peters[/player] -7. With this and all the retirements earlier this offseason, it looks as if this mighty Vampire squad has finally reached the end of the road... |

Perhaps the Arena 2 league? We shouldn't talk, though, we're going young as well. |

Two is better than 1!!!!!!! Gotta be optimistic. . .besides, I've had teams ranked pretty low in the power rankings before the season and have had them creep up to the top three in the league over the course of a season. I like the direction the team is taking. .. |
