As some of you may know- I'm finishing up my last semester in Accounting, and last week on spring break I decided to start the great search for a job. Sent my resume to a few places, first interview was Monday at a very small Accounting Firm. I thought it went very well, sounded very promising- they were what I was looking for and I was what they were looking for. After the interview he told me he'd let me know by Friday, he had some more interviews scheduled this week... Well today right before my night class, I got a call- got the job, start tomorrow part time while I finish up the semester and then after graduation I start full time. I'm very excited, 6 years of college is finally wrapping up- I'm hoping this doesn't interfere with my football leagues, and with tax season wrapping up it shouldn't be too bad- and who knows I might even get to browse the internets and play FOF in the office ;)

Anywho- very excited and wanted to share :)

Tomorrow night I'll have to go out and have a celebratory whiskey drink :D

Congratulations, Doug! What type of accounting will you be doing? You have mentioned a few times about studying auditing. At the moment, I do internal auditing. It pays the bills. :)

Another Accountant? Sheesh. .

My wife graduated IU with a triple major in accounting, business management, and human management and a minor in some other management, and is now a financial analyst for a fortune 500 company. She handles the european accounts. . .

Christmas parties are a blast. . .all those accounting jokes. . .

It pays the bills.

Congrats on the interview and the job offer. . .just make sure it adds up!

6 years? Is that accounting using new math or did you just drink too much?

Victorious- Auditing is something that I never want to do, right now it is just part time doing the books / payroll for a few companies... Once I go on full time, it will be that + books of other companies, and then the fun begins with Taxes

TT- 6 years, yuppp- not so much drinking, sleeping in, missing classes, taking bowling, advanced bowling, and raquetball really kept me in there. But hey I have enough hours to sit for the CPA exam now ;)
